When I was about 16 years old I got seriously sunburned while wearing an ordinary cotton T shirt. I had been getting a little bit sunburned so I wore the white T thinking it would prevent sunburn. WRONG! I ended up with bad painful blisters on back and front. Tan through and sunburn through.

Naked is green.

We always use Caution ... caution and moderation while sunbathing ... no matter what we wear or don't wear!

After a serious 2nd degree burn on my shoulder, upper arm, neck and a portion of my back (unrelated to sunbathing), I healed and the new skin was tender and needed to be reintroduced to the sun a much lesser intervals than previously.

It was a difficult adjustment because I was used to laying out in the sun for hours but those portions of my body began to hurt after very short periods of time in the sun. Took a few years to get back to somewhat normal but that shoulder and portion of my back still become tender under the sun in a much shorter time than the rest of my body.

Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I guess it's one thing about fair skin, I was never able to be in the sun more than about 15 minutes without sunscreen, Got burned as a kid, so mum used to lather my back with the stuff I've tried to do the same.

It's one of the reasons I'm curious about the tan thru clothes, how much time does it take to burn, how much margin for error do I have? Also like the idea os some protection but being free underneath when around textiles or if I have to cover up in my yard.

SBN.

Mrs.AzLagoon: Thanks for the heads up! even with international shipping from the UK, you can't go wrong with those prices. Look forward to seeing what they can do...and trying the product out, too

That shipment left the factory on 5 December - still waiting for it to arrive. On 3 January I followed up and they sent a replacement package at no cost to me - arrived yesterday (Friday). The colours, fabric, fit and finish are good, but I can't test them out yet - it is -14°C outside tonight, the pools are full of hard water!

Wore some on holidays recently while camping at non CO places. The feel great, are like being nude when swimming and I think are see thru in some light as my sister in law kept on checking me out when standing in certain light or the sun at certain angles. I think I maintained some colour but the tan aspect seems limited. Guess it's better than heavy clothing.

I have to say that I'm intrigued. I have heard of the product prior to this.

I LOVE to paddle off to a barrier beach and this would be perfect as it is a textile beach. Putting onto check-out list. Our winter is still on us here in the northeast US however.

Hey I'm after a link to some t-shirts, hats etc. that have a reference to nudity. I thought there was a reference here but can't find it. Any ideas?

Not tan thru clothing but someone who makes Tees and hats etc. that have motifs like "I'd rather be nude" or lines like that. Cheers, SBN. (Too cold to be nude here at the moment)
