Who all is planning on going hiking on the June 21, Unofficial, Official Nude hiking day! I was hoping to but the weather has not been good for nude hiking. I also forgot the I have two shooting matches that day and as the match director, I will be inside all day! Will have to make up for miss this as soon as I can!

That's tomorrow. We are busy with family things. I've got an appointment with my esthetician in the morning and then onto family events. Might have to postpone our naked hike until Sat/Sun!

I wanted to, but looks like the best I will be able to do is a walk around my farm. Maybe next year.

While I was not able to get out on the 21st of June, I did finally make it out for another nude hike day. Went to a trail that I like to hike and did a 10 mile trip through some alpine area to a short mountain. The weather was really nice with the temps in to mid 70's, clear sunny day and a slight breeze. I got a couple good pictures of Mount Denali, which was a plus in its self. Being that I am at the gym three days a week, I thought that I was in pretty good condition. Well this hike sure proved me wrong, as it took me a couple days to fully recover. Just need to find the time to hit this trail again before too much longer!

Didn't get out much this year due to job issues. But now I'm inspired and this year June 21st is a Friday, so I think I'll schedule off.

We didn't get out and hike near as much as we should have or as much as we would have liked. I much prefer hiking naked and the closest place for us to do so is over 2 hrs away. It would be more of a overnight stay at that nudist club and my wife doesn't care for the club as much as I do.

I understand, some of the trail I hike are 2-3.5 hours away. I leave early in the morning, hike for 3-5 hours and then come back home. There is a trail closer, but it is a challenge to hike! It starts out about sea level and goes to over 5000 ft in 4.5 miles!!! Once you get about tree line. it is nice though!

Got lots of places to go hiking closer to home but they are well traveled by clothed people. There is a place where a friend of mine, that knows we are nudists, said "you can easily hike naked there. Just be sure to be packin' heat. Mountain Lions out there!" Ahhhhh, nope! Don't have a side arm and not putting my wife at risk.

I do not go any place with out a hand gun! While some may disagree, I am a firearms instructor and shoot a little competitive! I feel 'naked' without a firearm on me! Some times it is not just the four legged issues that one may have to deal with. I had encountered mountain lions, several decades ago in Northern California! They can be a challenge!

DW and I do quite a bit of "freehiking" here at home in Canada. Our property borders on thousands of acres of "crown land" Our gun laws are much more restrictive than in the usa. I always carry a handgun with me while hiking. I also bought a 6 pack of bear bangers to use as a first response. We have often encountered bears and coyotes. In most cases they have alway just turned away and left. One time we crossed the path of a pack of coyotes that must have been on a kill. It was a little disconcerting as It was one of the very rare times we didn't have a gun with us. We armed ourselves with sticks and just carried on walking. It was about the same time a female musician, had gone for a hike while on tour in eastern canada and was killed by a pack of coyotes.
FP: there are lots of awesome places to hike in your area. DW and I have enjoyed a lot of wonderful hiking in the Palm Springs area. The BLM laws in California allow for nudity where there isn't a recreational area involved. I've heard some great things about de anza springs hiking too.

well i carry a small shoulder bag for hiking water , snack, first aid kit and lite ground cloth i agree nowdays some protection not a bad idea. i also carry a hiking stick i guess it always thought of that as protection but against a bear or mountain lion i'd be sol.

Everyone has their own level of what they consider protection. That is good that they at least are thinking forward. Some places do not require the same level of protection. A lot of cases a good walking stick may be all that is needed. Just be aware of your surroundings.
