Here is my question, I like to travel but LOVE to go to C/O venues including hot springs, beaches, spas & resorts. My wife goes along but refuses to disrobe. This as been a somewhat acceptable compromise for years. We now would like to travel with another TEXTILE couple and I wonder how specific I need to be before attending C/O venues. Would it be acceptable to merely state the pool is clothing optional or should I warn them it is, and I plan to be nude. Same with a beaches like Baker Beach should I say it has a C/O section I plan to be in that section so I can be naked or merely mention it is clothing optional? Has anyone been down this road before? What would you do?

Good question lowteck. Sorry about your wife. I took mine to a C/O hot spring for a first date. It lays the cards on the table.

It would seem to me to be rude to take a guest couple along to a C/O resort or venue without discussing with them that naked bodies will be seen, and you will participate in the nudity. People hate surprises and some people would get offended discovering that they were "secretly" taken to a C/O resort. You might be surprised that the guests will join you in getting naked. Or, they may choose to vacation with someone else at a different location. I have experienced both reactions. Good manners says that you need to discuss planned activity before you leave home.

my wife and I have traveled with a few different couples over the last few years, all textiles.
We've found that being honest about wanting to go to CO beaches and resorts when we find them nearby, is the best policy.
Not once has any of our friends been offended when we've mentioned wanting to go to a CO beach or resort. Unfortunately none of them has ever accepted the offer to join us either.
Being open about our naturism has lead to some great conversations with friends and, I believe some may join us some day.
