Posted - 02/17/2004 : 6:20:24 PM I've been to a club that officially didn't allow clothing in and around the pool and hot tub. If a lady is menstrating or knows she's getting close and chooses to wear shorts, "just in case", do most places look the other way knowing without asking and allow her to enjoy the company? |

fyi....there's a product out there called INSTEAD. It's not a tampon and it's not a pad. It's a cup really. But works like a tampon. There's no string, it can be in a lot longer than a tampon and is 100% more comfortable. I haven't touched a tampon or pad since finding these. They're not readily available but can usually be found at Target or online http://www.softcup.com/ -a great option for nudist!!!!

I just got the soft cup and tryed it. I loved it! No icky pad, no gross tampon! Just put it in- you can leave in for as long 12 hours! If you put it in right no leakage, swim nude, play all day nude and no worries! They say you can't get TSS form it either! Women who have sex might be interested that you CAN have sex while it is in on their period. Good news for your other half! Check it out I LOVE IT! BareBack

Posted - 03/22/2005 : 12:11:27 PM Ash, Just call me the Grammar Goddess. :)
FireProof, no problem in you chiming in. You have good sense and lots of time with your other half over the years.
I'm just glad I'm not bothered by planning my time because of monthly cycles.
:) Hugs, Cheri

Posted - 03/22/2005 : 11:51:50 AM Nudist0010, Even a full-time nudist wears clothing a fair amount of time (unless you're fortunate enough to live in Tahiti or something). I don't understand your confusion..but there are a great many things in life I don't understand so we can't judge by that :) I assume that if you are a full-time nudist (at some point in your life) and thereby probably SURROUNDED by other full-time nudists (since they don't tolerate nudity if you're working at TARGET (*you have to wear a red shirt), then I would also assume the "other" full time nudists would have the same problem in that approximately half of them (females) would menstruate (or use to menstruate when younger) and could give good solid advice at the time you need it. I wouldn't let this monthly aggravation dominate my concern about nudism.
As for FIREPROF: I applaud your comments from the male perspective..please don't refrain from "chiming in" because we learn something everyday on here..or at least I do.. for instance..today I learned from reading the posting by Cheri that I was routinely misspelling "menstruate"..so thanks! Posted - 03/21/2005 : 9:06:49 PM I can't believe I'm weighing in on this with two very capable women giving you advice on this subject already but I will give you a husband's/male nudist point of view.
During this time of the month for women, many nudist women will wear bathing suit bottoms. What they all wear to prevent leakage is a mystery to me, but my wife did wear tampons most of the time. During the first couple of days, we didn't visit nudist venues. She felt more comfortable staying home until she was able to control her flow with a tampon.
Going without precautions to capture menstrual flow in the nudist setting is not recommended. You wouldn't do it in a textile setting so you shouldn't do it in a nudist setting either.
There are thousands of women nudists that are still full time nudists while menstruating. They all take the precautions Cheri and Ashley have spoken of. Doing this doesn't make them any less a nudist, full or part-time.
Sorry about chimming in her ladies, and I apologize if what I said was "too much information".

Posted - 03/21/2005 : 8:24:16 PM And in reply to Ashly if I were to wear nothing would I be looked down upon? |
nudist0010 |
Posted - 03/21/2005 : 7:24:16 PM Yes, but I'm very serously concidering becoming a full time nudist and I can't just not be a nudist for that period (exsuse the pun) of the month. I'm really confused. |

Posted - 03/21/2005 : 4:18:50 PM nudist0010, You wear what you need during that time of month to be comfortable. If you're not as yet an actual nudist, although we are all nudists as I assume you bathe or shower w/o clothes, as Ashley said, plan on visiting when you're not menstruating.
Regards, Cheri

Posted - 03/21/2005 : 07:42:08 AM Nudist0010, are you asking if it's "wrong not to wear a tampon or a pad"? First of all, quite frankly, what choice do you have if you are menstrating other than to wear one? Secondly, if you are only "thinking" of becoming a nudist, I'd advise you to choose a time during the month for your maiden voyage to a nudist facility to NOT coincide with your period. You'll be self conscious enough the first time, you don't need the extra aggravation of worrying about this on your first visit.

Posted - 03/20/2005 : 6:37:24 PM I'm a young virgin female and I'm serously considering becoming a nudist. Is it wrong of mw to not wear a tampon or a pad? I never have worn a tampon for fear of breaking my hyman. And I don't want to wear a thong or bikini for fear of being made fun of. |

Posted - 11/16/2004 : 7:32:08 PM Last Summer we were at one of our favorite resorts here in the Conn. area, and my wife noticed a newcomer, and she was wearing a short skirt. When you first come to this resort, if you want to become an assoc. member, you have to be interviewed by 4 diff. members on the staff(not all at once), one each visit. We could overhear the conversation, and it came upon her wearing the skirt, and she stated that it was a personal reason. The person interviewing her kept insisting that if you were going to be along the beach area you had to be completely nude. She handled herself quite well, and basically told this "gentlemen" that if he could not understand the situation, that she and her husband, would surely find another resort to visit. The gentlemen who represented the resort really had not comeback. I would think that this resort, would be happy that new people are coming and enjoying the experiance of being nude. From what I understand this resort is experiancing some fin. problems, and they should be happly that there is new blood.
I hope they reconsider, because it is a really nice enjoyable, and peaceful place.
