Posted - 03/25/2007 : 09:51:58 AM There are times when even the most devoted naturist chooses or needs some kind of cover-up. The question--for both men and women--is what your choice tends to be, and where you purchase those cover-up garments.
What prompted the thread/question? I have looked for some time for simple gauze pull-over thigh-length tunics/caftans for my wife and myself. There's not much out there. There's plenty of 'prude-wear'--ordinary cotton; 'club-wear' that's generally 'racy'; 'erotic-wear' that tends to be tawdry. But there's not much in the way of simple elegance.
So again the question--is it always 'pareos'? Or does someone out there produce nicely finished 'gauze wear' for the naturist community?
(P.S. I'll post my 'finds' in this domain after NRO's have a chance to respond.) |

Posted - 04/11/2012 : 11:19:49 AM Another source for high-quality tan-thru swimsuits and fabric is kiniki.com. For the men, their suits have a relatively roomy and comfy pouch design. For women, there is a variety of kaftan, sarong, wrap and suit designs. I've added snaps and used ladies wraps for me. and also recently used a long sarong to re-cut into a couple larger kilts for me that snap between the legs when desired to look like board shorts. Personally, if I've got to wear something, I prefer airy wraps or kilts at the beach to any sort of tight suit. |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 2:48:20 PM Find a fabric store like Hancocks pick out the fabric you like they will also have the snaps. Ask the ladys if they can give you the name of a seamstress. Good chance one of the ladys that work there will do it. Otherwise most dry cleaning stores have a tailor who does work for them

Posted - 04/08/2012 : 10:46:06 PM I wear just a thong on beaches that don't allow nudity. Wife does too, with a white mesh sarong from the car to sand.
Hate clothes, always will. |

OMG, my wife made me a 'wrap' about 30 years ago. It was a terrycloth towel with snaps.
I'm smiling. My mother made me one when I was a teenager and I still have it. I haven't been a teenager for over 4 decades!
A great nude week to everyone. |

Posted - 04/01/2012 : 10:36:30 PM OMG, my wife made me a 'wrap' about 30 years ago. It was a terrycloth towel with snaps. Since then, she's made me several but the original is still my best (the fabric is getting a little thin. Wish I could show you a pic of it but I don't know how. Sorry! I only wear the original when we go to special friends houses for grillin' and wine. I have several, even a winter one. Actually that's funny, we live in East Texas. It's a thicker terry cloth. (I feel so bad for you guys up North. I went to high school in Minnesota so I know cold. Again, I feel so bad for you guys! NOT!!!! Please think about becoming a 'snow bird' we love you guys coming to visit. I've chatted on long enough so I'll say good night and go out into the night nude with my Sailor Jerry's rum and watch the moon cross the cloudless sky.

Posted - 03/30/2012 : 08:10:52 AM I am looking for something less binding than shorts when I do have to go outside and do yard work, just in case a neighbor violates our county privacy statutes and looks over the 6' fence. I was looking at terry cloth bath wraps and then fashioned a terry cloth short kilt out of a bath towel. Wore it yesterday in the back yard raking leaves and it worked great. May come out with a line of them for our special market...lol!

Posted - 02/29/2012 : 7:25:32 PM Update - had a great time on the cruise and really liked the tan through suit. It was so light weight, it felt pretty close to being nude. It also dried VERY quick, so there was no sitting in a damp suit all day. Best part - it worked...no tan lines. Not that I got a deep tan in 5 days, but I did get some color to be able to tell that the sun got through. |

Posted - 02/25/2012 : 8:29:01 PM landlord it looks like a neat contraption - lol but as i age i find somethings more uncomfortable than when i was young, i have wore the g string and thong bathing suits and underwear over the years but now go commando under my clothes - yes way more comfortable as for bathing suits i still wear a speedo but it has a back, not much of one but something. i would like to be at a beach and see someone wearing a c-string and ask them how they felt wearing it, yeah i'm kinda nosy. |

Wife finds it very comfortable and stays in place well. I find it more comfortable than a man's g-string, but it doesn't stay on very well for me. |
