Posted - 05/27/2013 : 11:32:57 AM Have you noticed that when you meet nudists face to face that they are very private about their occupations or their work? Is this a secret? I am not asking where they work but I am curious about what they do, maybe because I like to imagine them at a job. Same is true for art models. I asked a girl I was drawing what she did for a living and she would not tell me. Why not? BTW, figure drawing would be a very pleasant event at nudist resorts! Do you know of any websites or print magazines that mention this? Am I asking too much? |

Posted - 07/09/2013 : 08:47:56 AM I had dabbled with the idea of going to work for a friend/resort owner as the "nude handyman" but he'd already had a guy and built a relationship with him over the years. The only issue "we" had was that for as long as he'd been working at this resort, he still did his fair share of ... gawking.
I told my friend, the resort owner, that I'd work naked and take "payment" in "resort time" instead of money. But I thought about it afterwards and figured ... while I was on "vacation" and staying at this place, where I work, ... would I ever really be on vacation? Would I find myself getting up off my lounge chair and going and getting my tool pouch to fix something on my own or by their request. I decided not to pursue it.
I'd still like to become a "hospitality tour guide" at our club. I've tried a few times but each time I was there and available for the training ... no one showed up for tours! hahahaha
I'd still like to be able to work as a "handyman" at a nude club or resort but I'd rather get paid in "time" as opposed to money. This way I could work naked and not be under any workers comp rules. I guess I'd be more of a "paid volunteer!"

Posted - 07/09/2013 : 05:17:35 AM Being a double dipper, I probably would consider getting a job at a nudist resort. Of course, that job would require me to be nude. The job would not have to pay much. I'd have to join the IBNE, the union for nude employees. I'll bet the union meetings are fun.
I've had so many types of occupations, that I never know what to tell people. If nothing else, I'm versatile.

Posted - 06/26/2013 : 02:31:47 AM When I drove charter buses I always wished I could pick up a group of nudists. I'd love to be driving a Silver Eagle down the interstate naked. The only problem is you're right there in the windshield, not much hiding you.
Right now I'm a Slot Tech in a casino. There's been many nights I wished I didn't have to wear a uniform. Nude night would be neat!!!

Posted - 06/19/2013 : 10:23:15 AM Yes, Congrats on your retirement MichelleTS. Now get ready to be really busy! hahahaa
I've been retired about 4.5 yrs and thought I'd go crazy, after a while, not having things to do. But, I've fallen into that same ol' situation many other retirees stated each time I'd ask them ... "how's retirement?" Their response ... "I don't know when I had time to work. I'm busier now then I ever was while I was working."
There are many things I do and am involved in that keep me so busy that I/we look for days, weekends and a week, here and there, to escape and go find some "down time." Hoping that happens in another couple weeks where we take the motorhome out and go "camping" naked someplace!

Posted - 06/19/2013 : 05:41:59 AM Congrats on your retirement. I retired 4 years ago and love it. It also provides me with more nude time throughout the week. |

Posted - 06/18/2013 : 10:35:26 PM I just retired yesterday! I always felt like I had to keep my love for nudism secret as I had a very high profile job in the community. Now that I am retired, I now feel so free to be my authentic self - naked and all! :) |

Posted - 06/15/2013 : 08:25:02 AM I never told anyone who I worked for, or that I was a nudist until I retired from the USAF reserves.
Now, I have a job where no one cares (as long as you can perform)what you do on your own time. I still don't bring it up in conversation though, I'm still fairly picky who I tell.

Posted - 06/06/2013 : 9:55:00 PM fireprof we were camping at a nudist camp in north florida years ago and was talking to a guy that turned out to be the fire chief of a good size town, like all of us i'm sure have met cops, firemen, clergy and all types gov't workers. one time i was at work directing traffic and a car pulled to the shoulder and a lady exits and starts yelling and waving at me so i let my partner take over because i reconize her as a friend from the nudist camp so i go over to say hi and chat for a few minutes. i have run into several co-workers at camp - hey they are just as surprised as me at first but always a good laugh. |

Posted - 06/04/2013 : 06:17:14 AM I too worked in a government position so I can understand rooftops position here. It's not always easy dealing with the citizens. When I think about it, I don't usually disclose where I worked just what I did at first until I get to know the person more. |

Posted - 06/04/2013 : 02:28:28 AM Whenever I mention what I do, immediately I get everyone's horror stories about what happened to them at some point in their life. I don't care, it wasn't me that you dealt with. I am not that person. |
