How many are there outside of the AANR directory? Pretty short list to prepare, IMHO. Is there a need to reinvent the wheel?

I've been to very few places and commented here and on my diary on Cat's Chat - and I've seen no activity that would attract a negative rating here. Perhaps I wasn't looking. I would be willing to share what little I have 'achieved'. I've also posted on TripAdvisor, adjusting comments for a more general public. (In fact when I first started looking here, I was hoping to find such information, so I could choose where to go if and when the situation arose).

I have to agree with MrsAzLagoon, AANR seems to sort out the family-oriented clubs. But I'd be happy to contribute however I can.

I can appreciate the list that AANR has compiled, but in my opinion this actually represents dues paying AANR clubs. I'd like to verify that with independent reviews free of any monetary incentive.
My distrust of AANR's discernment on the swinger infiltration issue is illustrated in this very thread.
Yes, a TripAdvisor format would be great. At least one could be comfortable knowing whether the nightclub allows adult fantasy wear, or the more traditional no-lingerie approach. This to me represents the completely conservative and the middle ground nudists. If a destination starts to rate a 6 or 7 on the sexual liberation scale we would drop that one from the listings until things get straightened out.
I know a couple of clubs that would have rated an 8 or 9 that were AANR clubs for several years.

Let's assemble a trusted board of reviewers from our membership that can meet in a password protected area of the forum. This way our discussions can be candid. We can come to a consensus and add an indication of our ratings on the Complete List of Nudist Resorts.
We can make a bigger announcement in a new thread, but if you're interested, speak up and I'll set up that password protected discussion now.
Actually it would be set up as an Allowed Members Only discussion, viewable only to those allowed to view it. So no passwords to remember.

Thanks MrsAzLagoon. (You're trusted. ) It looks like I can count on CalgaryMark, FireProf and Bill Bowser as well. Here's the Review Thread. If it says "there's a problem," you haven't been invited yet.
Were you other guys just expressing support, or do you want to participate in the review board?

In my initial posting I was merely trying to explain the various choices a naturist has in Florida. I was not aware of the forum's ban on mentioning lifestyle clubs which I will abide by for future postings. Also it is interesting that one would think that I should only refer to AANR affiliated clubs when talking about naturist activities in Florida. If I followed that strictly I would never mention our wonderful nude beaches. It was also pointed out that the Florida clubs that cater to gay, bi, lesbian and transgendered are not AANR so I should ignore that they exist. That would be shortsighted, ANNR including my home club Northeast Florida Naturists has gay, bi, lesbian and transgendered members and there are two gay nudist clubs in Georgia that are affiliated with AANR as well as GNI. As Bob Dylan once said "The times are a changin".

No problems Ralph. It seems some of what was said was a misunderstanding.
My personal policy is to throw support behind any nudist club -- whether straight, couples, bi, gay or transgendered -- that abides by our standards of behavior and reputation. There would be a problem with clubs that styled themselves after a sexual orientation such as "bisexual." One would have to expend extra resources just to determine if such a club was a genuine nudist club, or perhaps a sexually oriented business styled as a nudist club for licensing purposes.
Establishing relationships and throwing support to clubs that cater to gays should not depend at all on whether they have affiliated with AANR, but rather on observable characteristics of the business and clientele.
I'm hoping our new Review Board can expand into dozens of individuals to help make this happen.

Glad to help out where we can. We have a trip planned with friends to NM and AZ. While in AZ, we will be visiting Mira Vista ... if they have the RV space available.
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

Sorry, this got posted without content so now I am editing ... Yes, I am willing to help as previously offered but my experience with resorts has been and will be for some time - severely limited.
I just received an email from LazyDaysNatural, http://lazydaysnatural.co.uk/index.php a UK based naturist holiday and tour operator trying to fill the void left by Peng and other UK companies that seem to have vanished. The relevance here is they are trying to start a new company to cater to the 'lifestyle' fraternity to avoid the confusion with those who want a naturist holiday. I applaud the separation, but I am disappointed at the use of www.adultlifestyleholidays.com as the company name. As I have said before, an 'adult' holiday means (for me), peaceful, no kids around, not a sex party sans clothes. I plan to write them to ask for an explanation, modification or clarification such as we have discussed.
Incidentally if anyone is considering taking up a LazyDaysNatural offer, note that British Travel Insurance industry protections may not apply and N. American bookings may be refused.
