Congratulations Rob, That is great she gave it a try. Don't be surprised that she gives it another try sometime soon.
I am really happy for you Rob.

Thanks Diger! I showed her your comment and she said "Don't bet on it!", but I never thought she would ever do it. She did say she was more comfortable with it because no one was real close to us like on Gunnison. Another big plus for Apollo!

I remember those days, Angie use to have to be way down the beach so we weren't close to anyone. Now we barely get to the nude section before she says "where you going? this is good." LOL

Good night! It's almost May and no posts since Diger's one of Nov.16th? Has everyone run off and joined the textiles?? ....or did the beach wash away? No matter....we're arriving May 9 for 10 days and will be bunking at our usual haunt in Sea Woods. Last year we were confined to Lot 4 and that made for a tad more "pressure", parking wise. Looking forward to seeing what all that Lot 5 construction was all about. Our packing list looks more like a chemistry set, with sunscreens ranging from nevergetcha "30" all the way to "fry in oil" 4.

Tansailr, I heard something about they were going to start paving the road to 5 so you may be back at 4 again this year. Give that lovely wife of yours a hug from me. We miss you guys.

How about Playalinda Beach - I heard it was larger with more parking. Going there next month for the first time.

Playalinda is much larger parking lot, but still plan on getting there early!! Last time I was there, even though there are No Nudity signs at the walkover the C/O section is right over it. Don't have to walk for it

Well we just passed the halfway point in our 10 day stay at Apollo and it's been awesome. The weather's been in the mid to high 80's since last weekend but we might see a touch of rain Tuesday. All lots are open and the entire road's been repaved with small pebbles of granite (you DO NOT want to walk barefoot on that stuff!). The water's unseasonably warm for May but who's complaining? Most of the "regulars" are back on the beach -- Beachbum Bill's been there everyday from 6:00 a.m. (!), we saw Chuck for the first time today, but "walking Charlie" is nowhere to be seen -- reported to be swamped with his piano teaching. In general we're seeing more M-F couples than in prior years. Today we even met a couple from South Dakota. Oh...and the best part: I'm catching fish with my spinning rod and jigs while the other fishermen with their blunderbuss mega-rods and meaty baits look on with bewilderment which turns to frustration when they see me release each of my catch. ....and Diger -- it looks like your sand bar has moved! Whatcha gonna do???

Digger, it's been a couple of years for me as well but I remember there being a sign there. Have no current info. Maybe make it thereally this season.
