Hey there. I was just wondering how was everyone's fourth of July? Well for my husband and I went to Glen Eden had a great time saw some friends of ours and listened to some live rock bands, they were awesome. It was just so wonderful. It felt so good to be out in the sun. We also sat around the pool just kickin back and having a wine cooler, had some burgers and hotdogs from the restaurant, partied a little last night and got home around midnight and the traffic was great. My husband and I stoped drinking five in the afternoon so he was cleaned out he did not drive drunk at all, everything worked well. I love him so much. He would never take chances like that. It is not worth it. Our one year anniversary is coming up in August, we are not sure as to what we are going to do that weekend, either way we just get along so good. I hope everyone has a good day! Keep on rockin.

Sue, Since you're so close to Palm Springs, CA, why not celebrate your anniversary at Terra Cotta Inn?! Nice place.
Travelites (my club) in South Carolina trip report: A whole range of bright and sparkling wishes to you, all your friends, family and loved ones. 15 Travelites enjoyed Cedar Creek Park's hospitality. The weather held for most of the day. Members were there from the Charleston area as well as the upstate and the Columbia area and from as far away as TN.
Some enjoyed playing water volleyball, others sat under the shade pavilion and caught up with friends. At least one or two walked down to the creek. The pig pickin' was yummy. The pork was most, the coleslaw great. I'm sure the fireworks & dance were fantastic; I had to leave shortly after dinner.
We very much thank John/Susan, Cedar Creek's owners, for the huge welcome we received and look forward to our individual and collective return. I hope you are having a sparkling time this July 4th weekend!
Hugs, Cheri

Ours was fun. We had just returned from Club Orient on the 3rd. Hadn't seen our children or grandkids for two weeks so we all got together. We built a patio at our daughter's and son in laws home, BBQ'd and had a great dinner.
After dinner we walked to a park near our daughter's home and watched the fireworks from a nearby stadium. Went back to their house, had some great chocolate cake and soon all fell right into bed. Great day!!
groovy41,
How did you like Glen Eden? We live about 30 mins from there and still haven't made it there. My wife is really partial to Terra Cotta in Palm Springs so we go there alot instead.
Have a nice anniversary wherever you and your husband decide to go.....congratulations!

Hello everyone thanks so much for posting. Fireprof, Glen Eden is great, the check in process takes a few minutes, but not too bad, we did have some weird guys hanging around us, mostly single ones, but we told them to get lost, other then that it is a nice place, I think you should try it, since you live a half hour away. There is a lot of nice people there. It would be cool to meet up with you just to chatt. Thanks for the info on the resort you go to in Palm Springs. I was wondering how much do you have to pay for the day? We are still deciding on where to go on our anniversary, since I am from the East coast we are going back east with in nine days from now to visit the family, near Phillie PA. So we are thinking of going there in August again. I love it back there. In fact my husband and I met on the net four years ago on the net. That was awesome! I was reading an article he wrote about Jimi Hendrix in this Hendrix news group, I came across this, and saw the email address, replied to him, later on that night he turned on his webtv on, saw this email and was so amazed, and he replied to me, and we just started to talk daily, he is so sweet. We love rock and roll so much, since I am a drummer, and he is a guitarist, we were a match. We also talked on the phone for months and sent each other packages filled with cds and tapes, once in a while with football things. We both love football to. We were and still are on the same page for everything. We both wanted to meet so bad, my parents loved him to. We met face to face in June 2001, he came to my house, right away I just knew this man was so special, I ran to him and gave him a big hug! We both like nudism, so my parents do know this, and they don't mind. He stayed there for six days, we both cried on the last day. Then the next year 2002, we saw the Who in Hershey PA, we met again at my house, we had a blast, for me went to CA with him that same trip met his family, they are so nice, then I came back to him in September 2002 we went to the street sceen, that was awesome! Again came out around Christmas time, wow he proposed to me, that was something, and I have been here ever since. We had the weding back in PA, my parents set that up and everything, and they have a lot of friends back in PA, that was something else. Well that is not the entire story, I just thought would kind of summarize it in case you were wondering how we met. Hope you enjoyed this post.

groovy41,
Yes, enjoyed your reply very much. We have a few nudist friends (couples) that live fairly close...within 30-45 mins. They keep asking us to go to Glen Eden but as I said, my wife is a little gun shy...about going someplace so close to the house. It doesn't make sense to her either and I think this will be the summer we finally visit Glen Eden with another couple.
Terra Cotta Inn does allow day visitors. It's around $30 dollars per couple. Included is a continental type breakfast. You should plan on getting there around 9:45-10:00am, take the small tour with either Candy, the manager, or Tom or Mary Clare, the owners. They put the food away at 10:30am so if you'd like something you gotta get situated quickly after checking in. They also offer lunch. They have an agreement with a local deli and have a menu to look at when you check in.
All your clothes, etc. are placed in a "day room" which all day visitors share. Sometimes it's only you and other times it could be another 3-4 couples sharing the room. You can use the room to sit, eat, get out of the heat and sun, take a shower, use the restroom, they ask that you do not use the bed. They rent this room out to a couple for a reduced rate because the renters don't get the room to themselves until after 5pm, that's when all day visitors need to leave TCI.
At 4pm, Candy, Tom, Mary Clare or Penny will circulate the grounds with wine and strawberries. They also put out alot of finger food snacks in the reception/office area that you can help yourself to. The resort has an ice machine and soda/water machine next to the ice machine.
Check it out for the day. I think you'll like the place and the people.

Spent the whole weekend with the family, but with relatives visiting, only nude in the bedroom ! It was a relaxing weekend, though; and hope our country will become better and better.
With very young kids on tow, I don't think my wife and I will be visiting Terra Cotta Inn soon !

I had a great weekend. I took the wife and kids out to De Anza Springs and they had a great time. I'm sure we will be going out there more in the future. It was sunny and not to hot arouond 80-90 and we loved the place. One thing we couldn't get over is how big the place is. I mean it's huge and not only that ther is lots of open land all around it do to it being surrounded on three sides by Anza Borrego state park. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

NudeAl,
In regards to hiking a DeAnza, do you just walk out past the property and into the state park?
Are there marked trails? Are there guided hikes by other nudists at the park?
We'd like to visit this place and I'd love to do some hiking in the state park...I think I can talk my wife into a short hike. Just wondering what to expect when we do make it there this summer.
Thanks.

Thank you for posting this story. It is very nice. Since it "is not all the story", have you written more elsewhere? If so, tell us how to find it. Ned Adams

Since my wife was ill, we were not able to go out to see the fireworks. Looking out our front window woulde have given us a perfect view of the city display about a half a mile a way, but there is a large group of trees that blocks our view, so we could hear them but not see them. So we watched the display from another city on TV. It was a very well executed production, with approtpriate backgrond music. Because we were in our home, we could enjoy being nude, as we watched it. I have not had that experience before. Ned Adams

Fireprof,
Yes the property is surrounded on 3 sides by the Anza Borrego state park and yes you can walk right off the property into it. They have several marked trails and there is even a guidebook in the office just ask Kim for it. The staff are more than happy to point out their favorite trails and some adventurous types even mountain bike a few of them. You will want to do this early or late in the day though as the daytime temps are getting into the low 90's now.
They have a nice little motel that was built in the last 2 years but I think the way to go is using an RV. I couldn't get over how big the place felt. In addition to the overall acreage there is nothing really close by unless you count Interstate 8 visible in the distance from most of the park or the semi-abandoned train tracks on the edge of the property. I hiked down the train tracks several miles, cool tunnels and trestles. There has been some trouble though. They recently re-opened the tracks and the railroad company was starting a sort of dinner train, tourism you know. Anyhow it seems someone vandalized the train unhooked it and let it go rolling down the track. It crashed about a mile down the track from the resort so now the railroad is going to start prosecuting anyone they find trespassing on the tracks. I didn't know that at the time and it is a real shame because this is a real nice gentle sloping walk.
Hope all of this helps you out I love the place and will probably end up getting a membership out there.

Thanks for the info NudeAl. I hope we can fit in a day visit out there this summer. The summer calendar is filling up quick and unfortunately there are fewer nude days planned.
We gotta work on that and get our priorities right!
