Share This - Utilizes the Share This service and allows you to easily keep a community extended into social networking, up to date and informed, while also serving as a great promotional tool. Provides our users with the ability to share forum topics and posts with all the major social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Tumblr and more.
This will really put us on the map. A healthy site has a lot of social media activity. Google won't rank you well if no one cares enough to Tweet about you.

How much will this change the discretion we currently have on the site? One of the strengths of what we have is the fact it’s been closed and we’ve been able to share thoughts and information freely.

Could you clarify that MrsAzLagoon? I'd like to understand your meaning of "closed." What's closed?
Everything has been open for anyone to view, with the exception of the members profiles which require being logged in to see those.
The original idea here was to allow the widest audience to see and participate in discussions about traditional nudism. Properly moderated of course. Were you talking about the moderation?
We do have the ability, right now, to set up private forums that only members, or a member list, can view. The rest is open to the internet.
We've never really used any private forums. I had thought a nudist club might enjoy their own little corner of NRO, only viewable by their club members. We've never had a club or resort warm up to NRO to that extent, frankly, so the need never arose.
Perhaps you meant closed, meaning not appearing on outside services? The basic function of using Share This is that if someone posted on here, say, a great review of a resort, the author or another member can then repost that to their Facebook or Twitter page with one click. So Facebook becomes a way for new members to find us.
Our values and approach should not change, if that's what you were asking.

I was not aware that the site was searchable. I monitor all things nudist with online searches and I don’t recall ever seeing anything come up for SRO. The share feature just sounded like it was opening up dramatically more than we have been. FB is a wild, Wild West when it comes to all things nudist. Just a comment/question, not a criticism.

No, no. I really appreciate your insights re the wild west.
In the early and late 2000s we ruled on top search engine rankings. For a few good years there we were number one and two for "nudist resorts." It's not so easy anymore, especially without any social media presence.
As long as everyone's well behaved, I'd be interested to see how large a group we can nurture. Maybe we'll even think of some useful things to get done.
