Happy Veterans Day to all the Vets out there. I had a good run of 27 years. There were some great days and people. There were some days that were not so good and there was some that I would really like to forget. However, they are imbedded in my mind, never to go away.

oldjeepers, had an old friend that was in the Seabees, 70-75. Recently went down with cancer!!!

Sorry to hear that. We were all exposed to dangerous substances during our tours. I myself had 3 bouts with cancer.

Had some good times and not so good times also. Worked 30 years in law enforcement after the military, good and not so good times there also but made some life long friends in both.

Have two brother in law’s and several friends that were airborne in Viet Nam.most came back and some didn’t. Takes a lot of ball to jump out of perfectly good airplane. More than I had.

I served in the USAF back in the Vietnam days. It's really strange and funny. Another airman was at the same base as I, and at the same time. We met up quite by co-incidence a goodly number of years later. You might have guessed it - we met up at a nudist house party. What are the odds of that? I'd have to consult with a mathematician to find out. I'd say pretty darn slim. 1 out a million? Anyway, we had a good and lengthy chat that day.
