I am going to be at Glen Eden a couple of weekends from now and was wondering it anyone had any helpful comments to add before I get there. I've seen their web site and it looks like a good place.

It's a very nice place. Been there a few times by myself. Trying like heck to get my wife to visit, she's about ready.
Very clean, nice people, nice club with lots of trees and some short trails for hiking. Small workout gym, tennis courts aways being used, nice pool and spa, a good restaurant, but wasn't always open when I visited.
There are some rental units there but never been inside them, they looked nice from outside, mobile home type units.
What specific questions do you have?

Thanks for the info.
I'm down in that area for a business trip, so the wife is staying behind. It's easier to meet people and strike up conversations when we are a couple, so just wondering how friendly the people are there because I'll be there by my lonesome.

Our family has visited Glen Eden many times over the years. Last June we decided to join as members. We have found the people there to be very welcoming. I have found the folks in the main pool and spa to be frequently open to conversation if you introduce yourself. My wife has discovered a very gregarious group of folks who play water vollyball in the indoor pool. The fun and not-overly-competitive atmosphere of this game helped her to get to know people quickly. These are always pick-up teams, so anyone who signs up may participate.

Remember to take something to wear in the AM as the mornings can be down right chilly, but warms up later in the day :)

I live only 14 miles from Glen Eden..There is always something going on there.. I have been a member of Glen Eden for 3 yrs now.. Your lucky to have someone to go with.. Rough if your single.. However, there is a Singles group there.. that has a meeting every month, but I haven't had the opportunity to check that out yet, because of my work schedule as I always work on Saturdays. Hope to catch you all there.. However, I can only be there on my days off.. which are Thursdays and Fridays.. In either case.. hope to see you there... ENJOY .... Leah

I'll be there this Friday. Weather permitting, I'll be by the pool soaking up sun and maybe some Newcastle (if it's allowed). I'll be there by myself, but since I'm married, I don't worry about being alone. I'll take good notes for my wife...

It's allowed, but you should bring along a plastic container to transfer it into - no glass containers allowed in the pool area. -String
