Hey Rob, I'm glad you had a good day at Gunnison. Gunnison is a clothing OPTIONAL beach, NOone is required to be nude. All you need is a wife/gf who isn't afraid to admit she likes (or at least, isn't offended) to look at naked men. Granted, MOST of us aren't young studs (and never were).

The video footage I've seen was certainly taken from on the beach itself;the victims' voices could be heard as they spoke, and I don't think that that would be the case if they were shot from some remote location.
So,the loser(s) are among us,right there on the sand...All we have to do is to keep out eyes open, and to speak up when we see something amiss. This is doable, folks!Let's take Gunnison back from the pirates.

Fishman81,
The video footage you're talking about is from someone with the initials UC, am I correct? If so, yes, you're exactly right. I think he, however, hasn't been around for a few years, unlike the one I'm talking about. But you can be sure that all of this is coming from those who sit among us!
Well said about taking back the beach. THAT's what I want to see! A place where people can spend a beautiful summer day and relax WITHOUT having to later find out that they've become porn!

Thanks Bob. I was glad my wife had a good first time experience. She did not feel uncomfortable at all at any time we were there...and she tried it all...fully clothed, bathing suit, even naked. I prepared her well by the amount of time she sees me without anything on around the house.

Has anyone been there on a Sunday lately? We were wondering how early we would have to get there so as not to have to park in a secondary lot, and avoid the long walk

Same here. I try to get there by 8:30 on a weekend, especially if it is a nice day. My wife and I went last weekend (Saturday), got there around 8:30 or so, and the lot looked to be about 3/4 full already.

DanandBev - We got there today (Sunday) at around 11:30 - lot was only about 3/4 full. Next weekend (July 4) will probably be a bit different.

The crowds are smaller so far this year(even when the weather is good)so we're going attempt Gunnison this weekend, despite it being the 4th.We will arrive before 10 AM,if we get up early enough.
Has anyone seen Sandy Hook closed this year, even on a nice weekend?
Thanks.

We were there. We got to the beach by 9am, by 11am the beach was wall to wall people. the official count was over 800 people running into the water at 3pm.It was a site to see. Channel 4 was there filming. It made the evening newscast, both 6 and 11 edition(obviously a lot of creative filming and head only shots). There were many, many more people just chilling on the beach watching. We are planning to be there around the same time this year as the forecast is for sunny and 87degrees.

njyankee60 you said that there were many, many more people just chilling on the beach watching. Were any of these people clothed and just there to gawk or were they mostly unclothed?
