I've been trimming down there for several years and it's only been in the past three years I've started going smooth on the chest, stomach and legs(not much body hair to begin with). I really like the smooth, especially in the summer when it is so hot. It aslo helps with the tan. As far as pubic region goes, it's trimmed nicely, but not smooth. The wife prefers that I keep that. In her words.."I don't want you to look like a hugely endowed 10 year old boy!" Too funny! As far as technique, I just use a mens hair remover and a small razor to touch it up.

"We...hate..clothes"

I shaved for all of my significant women, maybe more for me but they all liked how it looked and felt. Most of them shaved for me also, or at least trimmed. I remember being very excited and nervous about it the first time though.

Been shaving pubic area since I've had hair there, I'm now 30. I shaved my whole body for the first ime 3 months ago. I loved it, my wife didn't like me shaving my legs. So now I use clippers on my legs and shave everywhere else.

I first noticed smoothies about three years ago. Being naive, I thought that those who did it were just those fortunate freaks like those who don't have to shave their beard and moustache every day. It didn't occur to me that people shave down there until I read it in David Sedaris' book "Naked". That book also convinced me that I wasn't a freak for having visited a nudist resort and such... even though Sedaris is quite a strange character himself.

I had always hated how hirsute I was in the pubic region, so after reading that book last summer, I tried it, and have shaved my pubis and belly ever since.

I have no interest in shaving off my pubic hair or any other hair. Don't care much if others do or don't.

Best Wishes, Jim

By the nurse right before my vasectomy (sp?) Yikes!! I thought, "hey that's cool. I wonder how it would feel for my wife and me". After that, I started to shave my shaft and scrotum...after the incisions healed of course.

Mike - Nude whenever feasible!!!

Although I always shave my balls and shaft to keep a nice clean look, I don't always shave the surrounding hairs. Sometimes yes, sometimes I let it grow a while. Variety is nice too.

I have had mine shaved off since I was 24 now 42. I saw a picture of a guy shaved and really like the look so I tried it. A couples of years ago I made it permanent by having the hair removed with the laser. Don't regret it a bit.

I read somewhere that laser does not work that well on people with light colored hair or if you are tanned. Anybody know anything about this?

According to the laser technician that we know, todays laser will not get light colored hair, unless, that hair follicle has a black root. Some light hairs, or even white hairs have black roots and that is what the laser *looks* for. How this works is the laser cauterizes the skin right around the root of the hair. This starves the root. Not getting any nourishment, the hair dies. I know. This sounds painfull but no worse then a mild snap from a rubber band.

Our laser tech immigrated to the USA when she was 7 years old. Now a late 30 something. I tell you this to give you an idea as to how dark her skin is. She has lasered herself and her arms and legs are void of hair. Before my wife and I started to do the laser thing, I had asked about this myself. So it does not matter how dark you are to get lasered. It's just more of a challenge for the laser tech to get the settings correct on the machine to compensate for the darkness of your skin. If the machine is not set strong enough, no hair will die. If set too strong, you *will* get burned. A good laser business should do a *test* spot before you do any treatments. Some people, light or dark colored skin, will have an adverse reaction to the laser. I know I had asked why but I don't remember.

The first time I shaved my pubes was when I was about 9 or 10 when, due to a hormonal imbalance I entered puberty very early.
Not surprisingly I wasn't too well versed on what all this hair was when none of my friends were showing any trace, so to avoid embarassment I shaved it all off. Although my penis was also, by now, developing into adult size, this wasn't anything to be embarassed about.

It wasn't until a few years later, when I was about 12, when I saw a classmate demonstrating how to masturbate that I first became aware of otehr boys my age having this strange hair, so I let it grow.

However, some years later after I left school, I went through emergency surgery for appendicitis & it was another classmate of mine, who had taken up a career in nursing who was given the task of shaving me for pre-op. Although this seemed a bit embarassing at the time, I was hardly in any condition to be that bothered.

Since then I went through sometimes shaved - sometimes not, but over the past year or 2 I've kept it all totally smooth.

I've also noticed that, probably due to the porn on the internet, the idea of men keeping their pubic hairs shaved has become more acceptable - in some circles it has even become the norm, whereas not that long ago, anyone who even considered trimming their pubes was thought to be some sort of pervert.

The first time I shaved I was probably about 16. I just went into the shower and decided to take the razor in with me. It definitely felt great. But then I let it grow out and didn't do anything again til I ws in my early 20's. I have been shaving on and off for about four years again. Scrotum and perinium are always hair free, and right now I am just trimmed really short. but this forum has got me thinking again.....
Anyway, it does look and feel really good
