Are there any CO resorts listed under RCI or other time share organizations?

My sons want to go to the Caribbean so they looked for resorts in the RCI book. I doubt that they thought about clothing optional (naive Dad?) but they found some resorts that listed that in their descriptions. Go to RCI.com.

Hi, I know of a clothing optional resort in California in the city of Desert Hot Springs called the San Marcus Inn International. You can contact them at 760-329-8806. They are clothing optional and I think the owner was thinking of making them time shares in the future. It's really near Palm Springs and a really nice hang out. Their website is www.sanmarcusinn.com. Check it out!

I'm fairly certain that the San Marcos Inn in Desert Hot Springs is a clothing optional resort that caters to swingers.
Is that something "you're" looking for or recommending? This really isn't the forum for that type of venue.

The topic of this forum is " Do you have a question not covered here?" Have you been to San Marcus Inn? I have, and it is a clothing optional resort that caters to not only naturalists, nudists, and lifestyle couples (which you may be refering to as "swingers"), then I guess you are correct. It is advertised as "Clothing Optional" and even though I don't consider myself to be a swinger I go there anyway. My boyfriend and I find San Marcus Inn relaxing, catering to adult couples. I believe the first post was looking for a CO resort with time share options, which are few and far between. San Marcus Inn is a wonder place and for those who want a change of pace in a "no pressure" environment then why not check it out. It's under new ownership and it's been really fixed up. Clean and comfortable. If Nudism is a freedom of expression, then why not have a choice. Most strictly nudist places have families with children. Don't get me wrong, I love kids and have a couple of my own, but I can relax a bit more when they're not around me on vacation. Check out the Inn's website: www.sanmarcusinn.com It's really not threatening in any way and it's clean and comfortable. Maybe the world would be a better place if there were not so many divisions and sub catagories.

That's good to know, ddoger. I am an RCI member and have not seen any reference to clothing optional resorts in the guide or on the website. I'll give it a try.

when you do a search for resorts before you log in you can search by key words. Try using "clothing optional", nude, and adult. There are at least 3 places in Mexico, and one in Grand canary and one in tenerife. I found them all by searching. I have also phoned and asked about c/o places directly from rci. They are very helpful and there is no need to be embarrassed. I have also found it helpful to familiarize yourself with where c/o beaches are. for example we just spent a week in St. Maarten at a resort on cupecoy beach. The resort wasn't co but it was only about 200 yds from St. Maartens #2 C/O beach. Nowhere as good as Club O. The same in Antigua. We stayed at a very nice resort and drove to the islands c/o beach. Tenerife and the canary islands have many co beaches as there is no nudity laws in Spain, there is an option for you as well. There are also a couple of c/o timeshares in florida but are not rci affiliated. Anyway happy holidaying.

Hey, ddoger: Thanks for the post! I also have a timeshare exchanged with RCI. I've called them before and the reps that I talked to didn't know which places were nude or CO, resort or beach. I've tried mapping beaches to resorts, but I can't be sure which resorts are close enough. Would you mind listing the CO timeshares you know of by name? I know a couple, but not as many as you do. Thanks so much! (Let me know if you'd prefer to email the names directly to me instead of posting.)

We went to an RCI sales pitch recently in Williamsburg VA, and asked for nude timeshare opportunities. After the sales associate checked with a manager we were told that there were none. We informed them that we would buy if there were nudist timeshare locations alongs the atlantic coast. There are none that we have been able to find.

This is the post from a member of TTOL on the - - Tampa thread...
We are at - - Tampa now - since Sunday. Weather has been perfect. We are staying in a condo - no wireless and the Internet guy could not get the Internet connected on this 5 year old laptop. WiFi works fine here in the bar There is always someone here along with me in the morning.
I have not seen any sign of swingers and although I am told they are still here the marketing lady who went overboard is gone and I understand the management has ensured no pdas. - - has not turned into a swingers place and I hope its reputation can be restored.
What it has turned into is a "clothing optional" and RCI time share resort. It has lots of people coming on the cheap 4 day vacation and having to meet one on one with a sales guy. I see this every morning as I sit at the barwith my laptop - not drinking. They meet at a table in the nightclub on the other side of the window. Sometimes there's three of them.
You can tell who they are. They frequently are not nudist. They may have been on vacation in the caribbean and had a nude experience. They don't seem uncomfortable with other people being nude but so far there seems to me to be a lot of dressed people for a nude resort. Last night was nude night in the restaurant and there were only two nude women - me and one other. One woman actually had a bathing suit on at dinner - a real rare sight at a nudist club.
You have to be nude in the pools and that is definitely the case. Almost everyone sitting at the pool is nude. But everywhere else you can see people dressed in shorts and tops.
It doesn't bother me. - - is beautiful and we enjoy being nude and being here. This may be the way you have to introduce a younger crowd to nudism too. If we don't do a better job of that nudism has a sad future.
But it does change the ambience of the place.
We are not interested in the nightclub but we really enjoy the piano bar. We were glad to see Tom Baptist is back - He is much better than the guy they had after him. Last night dinner in the restaurant was fine and then we enjoyed a drink at the Piano Bar. We could see the Karaoke in the nighclub and more than half the participants were fully dressed. I'd rather hear Tom sing.
I'd be interested in what others say about the time share thing going on here.
It's their trip report...

I have found one in RCI. It is the - - in Tampa. It is listed as a Gold Crown resort, which is the tope rated, but some of the reviews sounds like it isn't all that clean. However, it does look like somewhere I would love to go with my wife.
