I've been acquainted with many who have enjoyed their stays. It's a lovely getaway for sure. Say hi to Tom and his wife and manager,Candy for me. Regards, Cheri

We loved TCI, but we went the hottest week of the year. Most people like it hot, but I like it cool, foggy, with a bit of drizzle. Is it ever like that in Palm Springs? :)

Quail, We were at Living Waters back in the spring, and rained for four straight days. A fluke, maybe, but it can happen. We had a good time anyway.

Terra Cotta Inn, our home away from home!
My wife loves the place, we feel very comfortable there, as will anyone else, veteran nudists, newbie nudists and very first time nudists.
Tom and MaryClare still own and run the place, with the help of some new and veteran faces. Penny is still there, Renska still there as the masseuse and now a new young lady named Marisa helps out in the front office. Candy no longer works for TCI.
If you've got some specific questions, we will do our utmost to answer them for you.
Have a fun trip...................

Yeah,
Post your questions here. Many others may want to know the same things but are too shy to ask. There are many of us that have visited TCI and you can get several different opinions of the place.
or...........you could just PM me and I'll answer your questions for you.

Be glad to ask the questions here, quess I was just not wanting to bore everyone!
Wondering what the routine is like at the breakfast and snack times. Do people eat out at the pool, or do they tend to stay in the rooms? Are there other seating areas on the property not by the pool areas?
During the day, do most guests stay at the resort, or leave to visit the area? Are there many day visitors?
At the Jacuzzi at night, do couples get somewhat romantic? (No, we are not swingers. However, we have been at places where it was fine for couples to have some "activity" just between themselves with no one caring.)
That's it for the questions for now. I appreciate any answers.

amjac,
I will answer your questions cuz I know the answers to all of them!
First, Breakfast and snacks: It varies, but most people eat their breakfast on the small patio areas in front of their rooms. A few will eat inside and there are to large tables that seat 4 people each near the office where people share and have breakfast there. Snack or "Wine and Fruit time", which is at 4pm, almost everyone is still around the pool. At this time the social activity comes alive and dinner plans usually get arranged. Sometimes by yourselves or with others you've met by the pool during the day.
People are spread out having snacks, in the pool, by the pool, in the jacuzzi, on their patios. There is another seating area. It's a gazebo in the middle of the grounds. A table for 4 with chairs and is shaded.
As far as guest staying or leaving; most of the guests stay at TCI during the day. Some do leave and venture out to see the sights but I would say that the vast majority stay, the reason........no one wants to get dressed to leave.
Day visitors: Tom and MaryClare limit the number of day visitors according to the number of rooms booked. There are limited lounge chairs and space and they prefer not to have the Inn so crowded that your sitting on top of each other. The most day visitors we've seen in about 6-8 people (4 couples). Every so often there will be a single woman or two that are allowed to day visit. This is up to Tom and MaryClare and usually it's because the female day visitor has been there many times before with her husband/bf and wants to visit but their husband/bf is unable that day.
Jacuzzi at night: There have been a few couples that have tried to push the envelop in the jacuzzi at night and during the day. I will tell you that many of the regular guests and the owners do not tolerate sexual activity at all. Arms around each other, kissing, hugging, even when the jacuzzi gets really crowded, my wife has sat on my lap, these types of physical contact are okay and not frowned upon. If the kissing, touching, fondling get out of hand, you can be assured that either someone will let the owners know and they will come out and either tell them to stop or leave. Just when you think no one is watching, someone is and Tom and MaryClare are protective of the reputation they have for TCI as a great place for nudist couples to come relax and enjoy themselves without the concerns about voyeurism, exhibitionism or hedonism.
Hope this answers your questions. Maybe run into you on your visit, we go for the day a few times a month.
Have a great time if you do go.

Thanks for such good answers. We are already scheduled, and will be one of the "few" who leave some during the day to see some sights. (We aren't from the area, so we want to take advantage of the attractions). I'm sure we will enjoy.

Whoops....darn if I didn't think of another question. Are there room safes in each room, or how do people make sure their items are safe when they are both at the resort and out on the town? Thanks again. (I gotta stop thinking for a while).

No worries, keep those questions coming. I don't mind answering them at all!
No room safes. Without going into a long drawn out post I will tell you that in the last 4-5 years we have visited, I have left my wallet in our room and my wife has left her purse and have never had a problem with theft.
Some of the visitors will lock their room each and everytime they leave it. My wife and I do not. We don't leave our wallet, purse or money out in the open but we've never had a reason to go to great lengths to hide them as well.
You are given a room and front key upon check in with a rubber wrist band so you can carry your keys with you at all times if you wish.
We almost always leave our door ajar and usually sit close to our room anyway. Everyone looks out for each other and I've never heard anyone speak of any articles ever being taken.
If you do leave the resort, like any other place, lock you door and take your key.

My wife and I spent two nights (July 25 & 26, 2005) at Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs and we loved it.
Before selecting TCI, I did my homework (read the reviews and comments in the forums). I’m a nudist and I wanted to make sure that my wife’s first nude experience in front of others was positive. I asked my wife if we could celebrate our 15 year anniversary at TCI, a clothing optional resort, and she gave the okay. I made the reservations.
We stayed in what is sometimes called the honeymoon suite. The room has a private backyard with Jacuzzi. The bathroom has a sunken tub with a glass wall that allows you to view that backyard (or if you’re in the backyard, you can look in but still have privacy).
We arrived on Monday and spent the day nude in our private backyard. She wasn’t ready to be nude in the courtyard in front of others. In the evening, we got dressed and left the resort to see a movie. When we returned around 10:00pm, we didn’t see anybody in the resort courtyard using the pool or Jacuzzi so my wife agreed to go for a swim and enjoy the Jacuzzi. We were nude in the courtyard and she enjoyed it!
Tuesday, we spent the day nude in the backyard. During her late afternoon nap, (a few hours in the sun can make anybody, at any age (we’re in our mid 30’s), take a nap) I used the resort Jacuzzi (not our backyard Jacuzzi). Tom, who is co-owner of the resort, was serving wine to the guest. I had white wine. Tom makes you feel like part of their extended family. Later, my wife and I went out for dinner and returned around 7:00PM. A couple was using the resort Jacuzzi, which is a few steps from our room, and asked us if we had gone out for dinner and if so, if we liked the restaurant. My wife spoke to them and gave her review of the restaurant. A few minuets later while in our room, my wife gave me the okay to join the couple in the Jacuzzi. I tried to encourage my wife to join us, but she declined. She wasn’t yet ready to be nude in front of others. The couple in the Jacuzzi was very friendly. I explained why my wife hadn’t joined us and they understood her situation. Later that evening, around 10:30PM., my wife and I went for a nude swim in the courtyard. After a few minutes in the pool, a guest came out of his room for a smoke (most rooms are a few feet away from the pool). I thought my wife would panic, but she didn’t. She was okay with him seeing her nude. Little by little, she is starting to feel comfortable about being nude in front of others.
Wednesday came and we had to leave TCI. During our stay, the staff was very friendly, supportive, and helpful.
Even though my wife wasn’t nude in front of others during the day, our visit at Terra Cotta Inn was a positive experience.
We are planning another visit to TCI within the next few months.

Wife and I both enjoyed out 2 night stay at TCI (Oct 4 & 5, 2005). Recently, I’ve read reports that TCI had been sold. So, during our stay, I asked Tom if it was true. He said that an offer was made but didn't make it pass financing. Tom and Mary Clare are still the owners of TCI. Yeah! :-) This was our second trip (read previous report Posted - 08/04/2005: 01:41:38 AM) and my wife felt more comfortable being nude in front of others. Since we live in So. California, we plan to make regular visits to TCI.

We envy you being so close to TCI and DS.
We have been to DS 4 times when we venture to the left coast. We love it.
We are planning on traveling to PS next April, and we have decided to split our visit between DS, and TCI.
Next week we are heading to FLA, and can't wait to hit Cypress Cove.
