We've been making the drive to Haulover beach lately instead of Hobe Sound. It is busier and 100% legal. If anyone lives in northern Palm Beach county or points north and would like to carpool down to Haulover with us sometime, drop us a line at nudefloridacpl@yahoo.com

We were just there a week ago. Its fine. no one bothered us, but being around other nude couples would have likely been nicer.
Walked about 1/2 mi north of the crossing to the beach and with no one within 400 yards, we were in heaven. Nothing but sun clothing us and the water was awesome. no sand in your bottom after swimming. It was incredible. Nice beach. Very secluded and barely a person around. One older couple was walking the beach, but they didn't bother us. The lady couldn't seem to take her eyes off us though, as if she had never seen nude sunbathers naked bottoms before.

when i lived in s.florida back in the 70's once you got above palm beach you could find desolate beaches where you could nude sunbathe most of the day and see no one. i imagine their are still a few hideaways where you can still bare in the sun. i don't get down to s.florida anymore usually going to apollo beach south of daytona and i am amazed how little the beaches at canaveral nat'l seashore are used, well except for lot 5 and thats not really that crowded.

As far as being nude at Hobe Sound, we definitely would take precautions and cover up when necessary, unless we knew who was getting ready to walk by us or we could see that the person/people were naked. A good pair of binoculars are helpful to see who's coming. Of course, the beach is pretty much empty, so many days covering up wasn't needed at all!

I was wondering how exactly to get to the beach entrance specifically after turning right into the center from Route 1. I was also wondering if there was any female company out there that would like to join me at that beach? I am new to the area, just moved here from Philadelphia.

So I went to the Hobe Sound International Wildlife Refuge today and had an amazing day. I enjoyed hours of clothing free tanning with only one park ranger who drove by me on a four wheeler. There are many good places to hide up in the dunes after about a mile and a half walk north of the parking area. There were more people than I expected, but I still had the ability to sunbathe mostly undisturbed. I did a lot of exploring to find potential places to relax and ran into a trail that leads into the dunes about a mile and a quarter north of the parking area. I am pretty sure that you are not 'supposed' to go back on that trail, but there is no sign saying so, which leads me to believe that you could plead ignorance if caught. I suggest taking the trail to the right, then making your first left after a couple of minutes; this will lead you to a beautiful sanctuary which you can relax, sunbathe, and hike 'Au Natural' without a problem.

Active 60's couple in PBC have visited Hobe Sound several times but never made it far enough north to really enjoy it. Can go any time of the week if weather is good enough. Anybody else?
