Are you aware of the singles policy of your favorite nudist resort or club? How about married singles, are they welcome?

Married Singles are welcome to many groups and clubs as long as the non-nudist partner is met. In the Carolinas, Cedar Creek, Carolina Foothills, Whispering Pines, Coventry - NC, and Travelites are allsingle friendly. Bar-S has a restrictive quota on singles. Best regards, Cheri

As one married to a shy slim buxom nudist wife (I know in a perfect natursist world it would not matter) we avoid clubs generally which admit single men. One resort we really liked for it's beauty became over-run with them and once in the hot tub it was she and I and 6 or 7 men who came in right away. It was her last time in that Jacuzzi... Sorry but the makeup should be 50/50 or so. I wish it was not that way, otherwise it's easy to scare off the women.

Jeff, did she say she was uncomfortable? or is it you who didn't like the odds? I'm just curious.

I started going to Sunny Rest Lodge Nudist Resort in Palmerton, PA. As a matter of fact, I went there yesterday. They have no restrictions on singles. I even inquired about the weekend and they said there are no quotas regarding singles and that I would be welcome anytime. They do have certain rules that everyone must follow. As noted in their pamphlet that is given to you when you register, improper behavior will not be tolerated. As an matter of observation, it was a very mixed crowd yesterday. Athough there were a number of singles (ratio of men to women quite low), there were probably more couples, including some families with children. In my opinion, it is a well run resort and the people are very friendly. I had a great time. By the way, they do not charge a higher rate for singles. Discounts are given to resort members and AANR members.

Glen Eden was OK to singles. BUT again NO single women around since the single women dont see Single Men thus the hassle that coupe had in a Hot Tub More singles=more Cash. Both genders. It need NOT be that way. Come on AANR Wake UP. Glen Eden has a singles group but those are over 60 yrs age. Very crowded on holidays. Glen eden, Corona CA.

It's not AANR that makes the individual rules and regs, it's the individual clubs.

I asked on another forum for input about any non co op club which had a restrictive singles policy, and found that in general, anyone who wants to attend a nudist park/club/resort, is not married, is willing to abide by the rules and standards of behavior of the host club, and is a TNS or an AANR member will find that singles (and their dollars) are extremely welcomed in the nudist community. There are a few clubs with restrictive singles policies who are not co op, but in almost all the cases, including co op clubs, there are alternative clubs which are reasonably close which have no restrictive policies. Essentially, the "problem" about singles acceptance is for the most part non existent, and takes on more form and structure in what people heard or what they think as opposed to the reality of the situation. Just because you heard someone say that they overheard someone talking about a friend who knew someone who's cousin couldn't get into a certain club because he/she was single doesn't necessarily make it so.

Thank you, Walt! BTW,if you're going to Eastern convention, can you alert those in attendance about the East Coast Nude Chili Cookoff to be held at Cedar Creek on Jan. 13, 2007? ( really should have sent that via email). :) Cheri

I am a "mingle" - a married single. The clubs near by where I am currently are flexible, to a degree, regarding mingles & singles. I have an opportunity to move to VA in the near future...does anyone know the rules for White Tail? Thanks...Rob

I went there a few years ago, and as a married single, I was turned away.

I haven't visited White Tail since 2010 but have been there three or four times as a single male who is a member of AANR. Great place.
Happy Nuding.

i think resorts are welcomeing singles more than ever, at some point, in order to keep a healthy ratio of the masses and not be over whelmed with single males, unfortunately they turn away some , been there not pleasant at all, being a member of AANR/TNS/INF helps introduce oneself, as a respecting nudist and that speaks volumes to one's character.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I'm already an AANR member but it may help if my wife goes to visit with me the first time. I can stay away from the pool and spa areas as well and remain just in the CO areas. That way we're covered...well...at least she would be covered.
