My sister and me are sharing a flat and we are 18 and 20. Our parents practically threw us out of the family home for wanting to be nudists. They heard rumors that we were nude at the beach (not a nude beach unfortunately) and other conflicts about our undresssing so instead of more shouting we just moved out and both work cleaning offices at a friend of my dad's company (and the flat on his property). Actually he and my dad are against eachother now

Perhaps if you were not found out nude on an other than nude beach, it would be different. However, now that they're alerted to the fact, it might be difficult for them to approve. You don't say where in CA you live so recommendations can't be made that are close to you. You have a number of landed, nonlanded clubs, resorts, and beaches in CA. You can go to www.aanr.com as well as www.naturistsociety.com and click on club listings at AANR and Naturist Network at TNS and then look for CA venues.

You might get a some brochures from either or both national organizations. The AANR has a couple of good ones: "From a Woman's Perspective" as well as "Enjoy Life Naturally." TNS has a good one as well. Perhaps sharing this literature with your parents might help. My father was a psychologist and couldn't understand me preferred way to live either. Perhaps just time will heal the wounds and possibly enable your family to again be friendly or civil to each other.

I wish you well.

Omg thank you Cheri so much for the advice! I think the literature for parents reading is a brilliant idea so we'll try that for sure. Now that me and sis are living in our own flat at least our nudism is going well and we are able to be nude in the house at all times and also dress in anything we want when we go out! Only negative is my dad's friend who owns the property always drops by but its like for silly reasons and just to stare at us I think. Wow your Dad being a psychologist and not getting nudism is bad sign lol!

Lilly, You might also go to www.naturistsociety.com and click on "resources" and go to the section named "205 arguments in support of naturism." Print it out and read it so you'll have the ammunition needed to rebuke any attacks on your lifestyle.

I'm not sure about the tenants' laws in CA, but in the Carolinas, your landlord needs to give you notice about entry. Also, you might keep a towel or robe handy to cover up when he comes in. After a short while of not being able to view your nudity, he'll get bored.

Lilly, with time, education, and patience everyone will eventually come to terms with what is and what isn't! I wish you the best of luck in your trials!

Lilly Nudist: California used to be a lot more accepting of nudism, after all, I think it was Stephen King that said "out in California, you could be naked except for a hankie around your yin-yang and nobody would raise an eyebrow", but all of the Nor-Cal beaches from Santa Cruz on up to San Francisco seem to be in trouble.

There are a lot of AANR approved places throughout California, B&Bs, resorts, retreats, etc.

So, to answer your concern... there's plenty of places to mask it in California. I know, it's what I have to do with my folks, because my mom is totally unaccepting of it (and I kind of rely on them to help pay part of my schooling, so I don't bite the hand that feeds me). I'm not saying you should mask it, but there are places to go. Above all, though, I would suggest reconciling with your folks, even if you don't live with them from here on out.

HG8 Harrier, with regards to nudism you seem to be at a stage in life that is, as Charles Dickens wrote, "the best of times and the worst of times." You are starting out with unlimited vistas and opportunity at your beck and call, but it's tough to practice social nudity tied down to the familiar old homestead living with your parents. We men all went through the same thing at one point in our lives. Secondly, to find a real woman to date and take to nudist resorts and beaches is like a quest to find the Rosetta stone. Note: actual naturist women seldom if ever advertise at dating websites. Once you get a home of your own the second goal will fall more easily into place.

However Harrier, don't think it's all downhill from there; far from it. You will still have to satisfy the requirements of the eternal question posed by all women (i.e. you are not out for one thing.) Once you succeed in finding a date, needless to say there will be some nude beach/resort ground rules set by the little woman. On the surface they are far beyond the abilities of mere mortal men: "I promise if we go I won't look at a single other woman." The strange aberrational/biological causal factor in this stems from the fact that women demand monogamy, which translated means they want your anatomical area in question to go VTOL only with her. Go along with the program. You will be rewarded handsomely latter.

I have lived nearly half a century and in that span of time haven't learned a great deal...but I have made the above observations. Good luck Harrier.

I didn't think anything of that statement when I read it, but now you've pointed it out it doesn't make sense. the term flat is what you would call an apartment, and as far as I'm aware its only used here in Britain, although it may be used in Australia and New Zealand, this leaves us with the question:
Just who is lil_lilly_nudist, and where is this person located!!

Just glad I wasn't the only one who saw something funny in that. I can't wait to hear the story on this one.

The last couple of new members sure made the "red flag" jump right up for some of us.

BareDevil, lil lilly nudist and a couple others. I'm always a bit suspect of young women who join and post a nude picture of themselves (supposedly).

I further become skeptical when the conversation is boardering on sexual content or context. I guess as I get older I'm not as trusting as I once was. Having been burned on a couple of sites after befriending and supporting a new female member, only to find out it was a male troll, I've become even more skeptical.

I don't like being this way but I also hate being lied to or mislead. I don't think we will be seeing BareDevil or lil lilly nudist again. They haven't posted in a while and my suspicion is that they may have been found out and they decided to go elsewhere.

Oh thank goodness it wasn't just me that heard alarm bells ringing!!! I have my suspicions about another newbie, but this one is posting as a male, and asking all the sexual questions.

You have to be on your guard at all times don't you?

There is a small part of me, the gullible, malleable and idealistic side of me, that wishes the moon were made of green cheese, that the world was flat and that there were legions of young single women biting at the bit to doff their clothes in the name of nudism. But after living so long in the cynical reality of this world, "me-thinks" this is not to be.

lil lilly nudist--Of course there is a Westminster, England; but there is also a Westminster, California. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. However in the SoCal sister city, about the only English Tudor Revivals are a small collection of buildings along Beach Blvd. built in the 1920's as a salute to merry 'ol England, housing a bank and real estate office. Decades and a demographic shift later, cheap stucco and half-timbered counterparts across the street are home to a Subway sandwich shop. Something tells me there are very few "flats" in the California Westminster, with a myriad of "apartments" housing the largest concentration of Vietnamese outside of the country of Vietnam.

BareDevil-- Oh how I wanted there to be a nude blond jogger bouncing along in the early morning light of Tampa, Florida: a fit natural beauty who says "Hi" to the UPS and Domino Pizza delivery man wearing nothing but her birthday suit. Why can't there be a world were women of natural grace (and knock-out looks) find it impossible to find a good man who will escort them to the nearest nudist resort?

The next thing you are going to tell me FireProf is there is no Santa Claus.
