As far as I can recall, I was comfortable being nude at home from about mid twenties but it was not until mid thirties I ventured into social nudism.

I always had an interest in being nude when possible. However, probably from my up bringing, I was always very self concious. I guess I sterted accepting myself at 41. I love being nude around the house when the kids are out and at the local nudist resorts. I still kind of have issue when I am not around other like minded people, ie. locker rooms at the gym etc. Maybe in time...

I guess I was luvky, My parents let me be nude from when I just a little kid. My wife was 21 when she felt free. And now every day.

I started being comfortable nude around 30. We were trying to have kids and I started wearing boxers and sleeping nude, because of a fertility issue. Soon I wasn't getting dressed till I had to, then after a while Mrs. Diger joined me sleeping nude and the rest is history.

I dicovered the benefit of nudism on March 23, 2000. It was the occasion of my first trip to a nude beach. I've since paid many visits to a nearby resort.

I too was a wild child who didn't want to stay in clothes, but my mother broke me of that habit when I started school (with some help from my teachers). While I would get naked when no one else was at home, I didn't start sleeping nude, and nude around my apartment until I moved away from home at 20. I move away from home because I started a job with the Fire Department, we worked a 24 hour on 48 hour off shift. At night we all slept in a large dorm type bunk room, so every third night it was back in a tee shirt and underwear. That is until I made Captain, and I had a private office/bunk room. But I did keep the tee shirt on in case we got a call during the night.
When I got married to my first wife, we both slept naked and spent as much time like that as possible. My second wife would sleep like that as well until the kids started getting older, now I'm luck to see her walk around in her panties.
But back to the question, I was Comfortable Nude at a young age, and then again after I moved out on my own.

i started about 16 enjoyed being clothes free and from then on i have visited nudist beaches ever sunny day possible. You cant beat it and its nice to sit and chat to others and walk around on the beach completley naked in front of others, just natural really. i hope one day many of the worlds population will become nudists.

I remember many opportunities for skinny dipping with friends at around 7 or 8. Had a naked club at the Catholic Boys Camp I attended (around 12 yo)and got my first butt burn on a private beach when I was 16. Was part of the Streaking fad in 1973-4 and been finding other nude opportunities ever since.

I grew up with it, so it's hard for me to remember a point where I became comfortable with it. I guess I always was. When you grow up with it, the shock value of it isn't there as much. I can't remember ever being uncomfortable.

When I was 19, I came across 2 books. The World Guide to Nude Beaches & Recreation and New York Nude. NYN is an out of print black & white photography book. It showed regular people, groups and families nude with incredible lighting. Once I discovered Sandy Hook, I was drawn to it. I was so very nervous, but enjoyed the breeze and surf. Too shy to speak to anyone or tell anyone I knew, this became a singular pleasure. However it wasn't until I was in my late 30's was I truly comfortable being nude and was even able to be nude with friends, outside of my family. It was quite an exhilerating experience at that moment.

I started sleeping nude when I was 13. So it was probably around that time that I got comfortable with myself being nude. As it was said ,I think it was Sally, I too grew up on a farm which gave me the oportunity to be naked with ease outside once I got brave enough to venture out of the house. I spent many days walking many miles through our and neighbours corn fields and tree lots naked. I started out carrying clothes with me (in case I got caught) then leaving them in a safe place to retrieve later, to just not taking any at all , the later preferred. When I started to date the woman who is now my wife she was shocked when I first told her about my pastime (while on a walk clothed)but she admitted that she was intrigued by the idea. When she said that I stripped imediately. That was the first time she had saw me naked. She didn't strip but she did take her shirt off and walk with me in her bra. Within the next week she too was walking naked with meand to this day that is how we spend most of our time together. Within the last 5 years we have moved the comfortability level up to social nudity by going to nude beaches. We are still getting comfortable with that , my wife will get naked if people are far enough away. So I think that we all take a lifetime of of becoming comfortable with our nudity depending on our location and other people around us

Similarly, at what age did you learn to be uncomfortable being nude? Off hand I can't remember a single small child who was not comfortable being nude.

The way I look at it we were all born that way, but society and a few nurses didn't help matters much.
I have allways been comfortable nude, even as a child my parents hada a hard time keeping me dressed.
When my Dad retired from the AF in 1979 and we moved state side to Utah from Germany things got suprisingly better as he became the Pres. of the Western Sunbathing Assoc. out there and we traveled to other states. Fortunaltley for me it was never tabu around him. As a teen I had to watch having my friends over as he would lay out in the back nude and could be potentially imberassing for my girl friends as it was on one occation. But... we survived and moved on. Just got more carefull when Dad was home.
In my own home its the "free to be me club" , leave your shoes and clothes at the door if you so choose, but don't be suprised when I am not clothed after I answer the door.
I let averyone I meet know my preference and they can take it or leave it. If they are uncomfortable in some instances I will remain clothed (kids and all that)but otherwise weather and temp permitting off they come!
Cold in the Northeast and more clothed lately then I care to be but gotta stay warm, heating bills get 2 high.
