I have always preferred being nude, My parents tell me stories of when I was little I was always taking my clothes off. Eventually with my family not being nudists I was forced to stop doing it in front of other people. I was last intentionaly seen nude by my father at age 10 when changing. My family was always very strict about not being seen naked exceppt for small children. I have however all my life been naked whenever possible when alone. Both growing up and ever since I would often strip naked when home alone, and have been fortunate to spend a lot of time growing up living in the country where I was sometimes able to take my clothes off outside and enjoy being nude. At different times my grandparents and later my aunt had private pools and I would go skinny dipping whenever I got a chance to be there alone. At my aunts they had a private yard so 1 time when I was asked to cut their grass while they were gone I did it nude. I have always preferred sleeping nude but was usually not able to do it because of lacl of privacy. When I had a room with a lock on it I would sometimes lock the door to keep anyone from walking in on me sleeping nude. For a while growing up I shared a room with my sister which waas only divided by a particle board partition that my father put up and had only a swinging door that did not go all the way to the floor or ceiling to my part of the room and sleeping nude without being discovered would have been impossible since my parents standing at the door could easily see over it. My parents were always saying to sleep without underwear to air out. I wonder now what they would have said if I suggested going a little bit further to air our and sleep without pajamas.Now I still live with family so am not able to be nude around the house except when home alone. I sleep nude whenever possible, never wearing any more than a pair of shorts. I do think that my mother now knows I usually sleep naked though we have never discussed it because all of a sudden a while ago she started not coming in my room without knocking iin the mnorning anymore. I do remember a time where I was sleeping naked at about the age of 19 when she came in to talk to me before leaving to go somewhere and kissed me goodbye. I was covered by a sheet and I don't think she realized I was naked. The last time my mother intentionally allowed me to see her naked was about the age of 7 or 8 when I had to go to the bathroom really bad while she was taking a bath and she allowed me to come in and use the toilet. I have never been socially nude. I have always wanted to but it has never been possible because of my family. Once when i was in my mid-teens and I was at a summer camp one of the other kids mentioned that a bunch of them had gone skinny dipping the night before and that I should have comr. I would have but I didn't know anything about it until the next day. I have only been naked in front of others in shower or changing rooms mostly at camp and for doctor or hospital visits in front of medical people.

From the time I was about 14 I knew I enjoyed being nude. My father was somewhat of a nudist and I've followed in his footsteps. He always slept nude, and I got the idea to try it when I was just a teen. The first night I was hooked, ever since then I've never worn anything to bed. We lived in the country while I was growing up. My dad never made it a habit to walk around the house naked, only caught him in the mornings when he'd be getting out of bed, but when my mom would be gone, he was more open about his nudity. We had a pool in our back yard, on several occassions he would be swimming nude when my mom was gone. One day it was just he and I at home, he told me to feel comfortable swimming nude, but just make sure not to let my mom catch me doing it. Ever since that day, every chance I got to be at home alone, I would be naked. I really enjoyed the feeling of being nude outside, there's just something about having the sun hitting your body and feeling the breeze blowing over you, so relaxing. I thank my dad for allowing me the opportunity, and will never forget all the great times we had just hanging around, enjoying the nude life. He really made me realize that I wasn't some sort of a "freak" for wanting to enjoy the freedom on being a nudist1!!

I've been very comfortable since I was in my early 20's and I'm now 53. And I would like to say Cheri, if your avatar picture is a picture of you, you hide your age very well as you don't look a day over 40 from what I can see.

About 15 for me. One day I wondered what it would be like to go around the house naked. So one day when there was no one home I did it & was very comfortable without my clothes on. Then I wondered what would my mother think. So the next day when she was home I just went around naked in front of her. She asked me if I was going to stay like that all day & I said I was. She didn't mind & I've been a nudist ever since. But my wife doesn't understand.

Well, I found out I loved being nude when I was about 10 or so. I'd sneak off into the woods to play where I knew I couldn't be seen and would shed my clothes. But it was probably late teens before I really got more comfortable with it and out of college before I began to seek out nudist locations like nude beaches or resorts to visit. That's when I found I was very comfortable around other nudists of all ages. I am mostly nude at home when it's warm enough and look for opportunities to meet other nudists to hopefully hang out (no pun intended) with like-minded people.

I just decided to get nude today while studying for finals & it feels great...age 20 by the way. Feel great. Wanna sleep nude 2nite but way to cold.

I started sleeping naked when I got out on my own, in the upper 20's. Even when I moved out of the house, I was living with someone, friends, an aunt. When I worked with Trailways I lived in motels most of the time, I was naked in my room. I was in Miami for the most part so, on my days off, I drove around the Keys and other areas for a nudist resort or beach. We didn't have the internet then so I guess I didn't know the right places to look. If I had found them I'd have been a social nudest at around 27 or 28 and never looked back.
I'm in Missouri now and I've found the location of a few, it' just a matter of getting there.
I still sleep naked, no matter where or what. I keep a pair of shorts or loungers close by in case I've got to get up for any reason.

jimmie i was in the same boat back in the mid-seventies i was 20 yoa and had rented my first apartment in ft.lauderdale, i knew there was a nudist camp there but not sure exactly where as it wasn't advertised and yes no internet, yes the internet has a lot of good points and information there was also tale of a nudist beach but where ( virginia beach-miami ) so it wasn't till the mid -eighties before i finally visited my first nudist camp, how much i missed. plus nudist clubs are more open to singles especially young singles back in the seventies i probably would have been turned away if i went by myself.

First started being nude at home when I was 15. I would be nude inside when my siblings were not at home, often when my mom was also at home resting. I would also go out to our back porch and sun in the nude because behind our house was almost all wooded. One side of our back porch could be seen by the next door neighbor who did see me and reported my nakedness to my mother. My mother did not take any action about it, but I did not go naked around her. When I got married we went naked inside our apartment regularly in our 20's. We were never socially nude until the 90's. If only the Internet had been around earlier. We had lived near several nudist places in the 70's and 80's as we moved or traveled around the country and did not know about them at that time. If we had known I believe we would have experienced social nudism much sooner.

My first experience was when I was about 12. We had a second story balcony in the back of the house that I would sneak out and sun bath naked. It felt sooooo good. I had to do it when my older brother was not home because I had to go through his bedroom to get to the balcony. No one could see me on most of the balcony, but as the sun moved I would have to move to the edge where I could be seen while I was standing so I slowly became more brave to catch more sun. Since I was never caught I just kept on doing it until I moved out of the house when I was about 21. I did not become a social nudist until around 30. I guess that makes me a closet nudist for almost 20 years. Boy what I missed out on for all that time.
In my twenties I had an apartment and the girl next door and I would sneak over to the pool late at night and go skinny dipping. We never wore anything to or from the pool as we walked across the parking lot. I do not know if anyone ever saw us, but nothing was ever said by any of the neighbors about our late night swims. The pool was lighted and surrounded by several apartments that had windows that looked down on the pool. I guess this was my really coming out about being comfortable with being naked and not caring if I was seen by someone else.

I first ran through the woods nude when I was 14. It was early in the morning and our family was on vacation in England. While staying in a trailer (caravan), I was the first one up. I went outside in my PJ's and walked a short distance. Then it crossed my mind to wonder what it would be like nude so I dumped my clothes and ran through the morning dew in the woods. What a great feeling! I could not do this at home since my family was very conservative. I had to be content with sunning in the back yard in some very scanty briefs. My mother was not crazy about it, but tolerated my behavior. When we married, my wife and I slept nude almost always. Over the years, I've tried to be naked around my own family. Once when the family was in the pool in the yard, I came out naked and dived in. My then 7th grade daughter was uncomfortable and so I promised not to do it again. Over time, I've been to nude beaches, Wreck Beach in particular and once to Living Waters in Palm Desert. I love it but, alas, my wife does not. Still I can be nude at home and that is fine with her. Sometimes, she will go topless but that's pretty much it. Still, it's something that I can enjoy when the weather is warm enough - which today it is not!
