i have a couple of questions...
First off i apologize to the moderators if i have placed this in the wrong forum..please move or edit as you see fit..
second.. a little about myself and family..
I am 36 years old and have liked the nude environment for going on 10 years or so..i have never been to a club or the beach nude..(Will try to rectify that this summer!!)..my wife and i are comfortable nude in the house, we have a about 5 or 6 friends who are comfortable to, The hot tub is the place we all end up naked..we have all seen each other naked and are comfortable walking around the house and to and from the hot tub..(The getting naked starts with the trip to the hot tub and usually ends with the getting out..2 of my friends (Men) are more comfortable and only get dressed after the hot tub when they have to leave. We live in Ottawa Canada and the hot tub thing is year round..more so in the winter..(Nothing quite like sitting in the tub in the middle of snow storm or sitting with just your mouth above water because its -40 outside..the steam is intense however the beer does tend to freeze so you have to dunk the bottles in the tub fairly often!!!)
We also have 2 small children, one boy who is 4 and the other a girl who is 5 going on 15!! (If you know what i mean!)
my wife is not as comfortable about being naked in front of the kids as i am..(She however does have a little bit of a double standard going on..its OK for my son to see her nude but not quite right for my daughter to see me nude..i understand this is just a throw back from her upbringing and we are working thru that..)
My son and daughter have seen me nude numerous times..as i figured,nothing was said because they see it as normal..This is what i want for them..to see another naked body as normal and not snickering behind there hands pointing and giggling..
what has prompted this post was something that happened tonight..my daughter has been hounding me to go in the hot tub...up until today i have not let her..i keep the tub at about 104 so i feel it was a little to warm for her..she started to campaign this week and her mother is away this weekend so my wife said as a treat why don't you take in with you on the weekend..i agreed because it was going to happen sooner or later...so i turned the tub down on Thursday to 99 so it wasn't to hot for her..after my son went to sleep she asked if we could go in..i said yes and she asked if needed her bathing suit..i said no she didn't need it..no problem she stripped down in the kitchen with me, i wrapped her in her towel for the walk out..(Its still a little cool here at nights mid to high 60's) and in we jumped...she loved it..however after a while in the tub she pointed to my penis asked whats that..i replied it daddy's penis..she said "just like anthony"..(her brother) i said yes thats right..the then pointed to her vagina and said then what this..i told her it was her vagina and thats what made boys and girl's different..(it certainly not the first time we have talked to the kids about a penis or a vagina..i have to keep reminding my 4 year old that if he pulls on it any more he will pull it off!!..so she is well aware that boys have a penis and girls have a vagina..it just came as a bit of shock that she pointed to mine and asked me about it..
now i guess here is the questions..
How do i deal with these type of things? in language that a 5 year old can understand?
i sleep in the nude and on quite a few occasions i wake up with my daughter next to me..(Unfortunatly there are only two bedrooms upstairs and hers is downstairs..she get sacred if she waked up in the middle of the night and runs up and crawls into bed with us..thats another problem we are working on!)
going on with the nude sleeping (And the biggest problem for my wife at the moment) i am a man and as far as i know this little problem is shared by most..is the "morning wood"..the damn erection that has no reason..except that

Darren, children as you have witnessed are natural nudists free of guilt and shame which will be taught or learned. Most important will be, where it will be appropreit to go nude. Being honest and informitive is the best way. I didnt say it would be easy .I know .

I think she may be picking up these mixed signals from her mom. I also think you and her need to talk about this and where she gets the idea that it isn't okay for her daughter to see you nude but it it's okay for your son to see her nude. I also think you might want to expand your nudist horizons a bit this summer try booking a stay at a nudist destination. At least bring it up with your wife and provide some literature on it. You might want to enlist the help of a buddy since you say you have friends that enjoy hot tubbing nude. This isn't going to go away so if you don't deal with it you will be forced to cover up more and more of the time. Good luck

The younger it can be impressed upon children that there is nothing wrong in social nudity the better. Do you and your wife belong to a naturist club? The kids wolud love it , playing amongst others of their own age and without the constraints of clothes. Give it a go.
