Well, my first experience with nudity in the presence of another went quite well. Surprisingly non-awkward, and rather enjoyable. I think we might do this again....now if only I can get my current roommates to be comfortable with the idea of my being nude in the apartment (outside of my bedroom...or at least, within potential view)...

Congratulations, agmetal! That's a big leap you took, and I salute your courage! I don't know that I would have the nerve to try it myself (or who I'd ask!), but your success is an inspiration.

Bare Sarkr, I have this feeling that this will make you intensely envious, but I've just found out something else awesome...I currently live with two roommates, one male, one female. I'm closer friends with my female roommate, and I told her about my plans to get together with my friend nude while she and our other roommate were away for spring break. She just got home last night, and I didn't get to tell her about my experience until tonight, but I mentioned how I would love to be able to go around the apartment nude from time to time (particularly on hot summer days). She said it was totally fine with her, although suggested that it would probably freak out our other roommate...not sure what he'd think, he doesn't know about any of this yet. Not sure how I'd bring it up...something I definitely must consider, though.

Bare Sarkr, agmetal, traisjames, and others reading with similar concerns. You've received great advice from folks who know every concern a new nudist could possibly have and who have overcome those concerns themselves. These folks are correct, try not to ovethink and cause yourself undue nervousness.
One piece of advice not included in the other replies.........I'm going to impart on you all you need to know to be able to interact successfully with women. I'm a Grandpa, somewhere along the line I got it right. Two things:
One: They're people, treat them that way.
Two: They're much better at detecing BS than most men.
That's it, be polite, be well mannered and friendly, and don't view them as anything other than respectable human beings. Chivalry is good (very good, actually), but simply give them respect as equals and you'll do just fine.
