So how does everyone deal with the seatbelts? Do you just not wear them? Or do you just live with the irritation in trade for the comfort of being nude? Maybe someone pads them or....??
Body shame, like prejuduce, is not natural. It is learned from others and benefits no one.

I do not seem to be bothered by it so much. I sometimes end up with a line across my hips where the seatbelt lies and sometimes loosen it to be more comfortable.

We have those soft lambskin seatbelt covers. I've put some on the lap portion but even when I didn't, it didn't bother me too often.
Wife usually wears a shirt so neither lap or shoulder belt bothers her.

I don't seem to be bothered by the seatbelt either.

Staps don't bother me either and I don't even have the strap covers...although I have not driven the distances that some of you have covered. My longest trip was only about an hour. Belt might be more irritating on longer trips.

I love this warm weather! Drove to and from the club today naked! Had to slip on a pair of shorts and flip flops to check in but then slipped them off once in the car and never slipped them on again!

I heard something in the news the other day about a man getting into an accident, while driving nude. Evidently he didn't have anything with him to cover up with, he was arrested, I think. Makes more sense to have a pair of shorts or a towel or wrap, like the majority of us on this topic. Always expect the unexpected.

I've had a couple of instances where I was pulled over while driving nude. One was because the officer did not approve of the way lumber was secured in the back of the pick-up. The shorts I slipped on probably didn't cover as much as the trooper expected. He was obviously amused, but said nothing. I secured the lumber and was on my way again. Another time I was called in to work unexpectedly late on Sunday evening so I packed up the boiled shrimp I was about to dine on and headed off. It was 2:30am on an empty highway in the middle of nowhere. I was driving nude, peeling shrimp, driving with my knee, with the cruise control at 75 on a 55 mph highway. Had a brain fart thinking the only headlights coming my way were something other than a cop. Shrimp went flying and I did a less than graceful pull to the right, but was able to put on the standby shorts before the officer was wise to my nudity. There are a few moments in my life where I look back and say honestly; 'That was really stupid!'

In this case....in my opinion...it was driving 75 mph and stearing with your knees....NOT driving nude!

Fireprof, that was exactly what I learned from the incident. I continue to drive nude, but not driving by knee at 75 mph.

I also have trouble with seatbelts that keep trying to tighten up and cut into me. My solution is to pull the belt out to where I want it to be and then put a big clip on the belt just where it goes into the retractor. I then control the tension in the belt and can still use the belt for safety and it doesn't cut into me.

I found the best thing to do is have a towel wrap. It is a towel with velcrow closures. I sit on the towel and open it while driving. If I have to all I do is pull the towel togetherand close it with the velcro. It now is a skirt. Nothing illegal about driving in a skirt. Seatbelts are required in Florida and on certain tiomes yuo can be stopped for not wearing the seatbelt but most of the time it is a secondary offense.

Smoothy, I've got one I bought when I lived in Miami between 1978 and 1980. It's a "Terry-Go-Round", sold by Sears, Roebuck and Company, only it has snaps. Supposed to fit All Waist 28 to 42. I've worn it more this year than all the time since I bought. I though about looking for a new one but I'm not sure I'd like the velcro. It always gets filled up with fuzz. I thought about getting some towels in the clearance aisle in W-M and have someone copy the original.

We've purchased several sarongs and pareos on our trips to the Caribbean. I'd probably wear one of those...or sit on one and wrap it around me...rather than a towel.
If a cop stops you...you can always tell him you're part Samoan, Hawaiian, Pacific Islander....how's he/she gonna know and many of them will wear sarongs and pareos all the time. And...it certainly isn't illegal to wear a sarong/pareo in public!!
