My name is chris. i live in southern california and am planning on attending Glen Eden sun club on Monday with a friend. Were both 19 yrs old and im worried that there will be a huge age gap and we will feel weird. I want to know what the age variety is at a clothing-optional facility. Im really nervous and really excited at the same time. i just need someone to talk to with expirience, thx
Chris

It is my experience that naturism has persons of all ages. However I live on the East Coast. Somebody familiar with Glen Eden ought to answer.

Chris, Don't know about Glen Eden but you could call them and ask. The crowd is mostly older where I visit (BarSRanch, in NC) but usually there are a few kids and once in great while someone about your age. However I wouldn't let this deter you as you'll find a nice and friendly group of people who likely will appreciate some youth around. Relax and go. Choose a crowded day such as a Saturday and I think you would find a clothes free resort more relaxing than a clothing option resort.
Best Wishes, Jim

Glen Eden is the home of the first Sun Singles. Every nudist club: park or nonlanded club can have a change of complexion, daily or weekly. Cheri

Hey Chris. Don't even worry about it. There are all ages and types at all nudist venues. I don't care where you are, most nudists are of more "mature" ages. I think a lot of people become more open and less inhibited as they age. I also think that the fact that you are ready to enjoy nudity at a younger age is cool. Chances are good that you'll feel good about yourself. Everyone there generally does, no matter how they look or what their age. We're all comfortable with ourselves and with each other, so you should be comfortable with yourself too!!
Have a great time!

thx for the feedback. i guess that my biggest concern is that we will feel out of place. I just wanted to know that it is meant for all ages and wasnt going to be viewed as a couple of guys going to see some naked people. We have always had a low self image and low self confidence and my other friend told us how much it helped her, so we thought we would give it a try. My friend and i are also very mature for our age because of the things that we have expirienced. A lot of people that are 30 - 40 havent gone through the stuff we have. What can we expect when we go there, when you walk in what happens do they give you a tour, are the people there going to be distant and want to be by themselves or will they come and introduce themselves. Any info you can shed on what we can expect that would be much appreciated.
Thx in advanced, Chris
Thx Chris

Chris, At Glen Eden, the first time I ever visited I was a seasoned nudist. They do give first timers a tour, and you're expected to not wear clothes unless it's chilly outside. I guess you can wear a towel wrapped around your waist. The grounds are lovely. I'm sure you'll be fine. Cheri

Being a former AANR and AANR West official, I am quite familiar with Glen Eden, and it's a great club. However, if you had asked me for a recommendation for a club to visit for the first time, I would have suggested a smaller one where it is easier to get to know people. If you are a single male, just be sure that your behavior is above suspicion. Some GE members are wary of newcomers, especially single males, and will report anything that they think might be improper to the office. Cheri mentioned the Sun Singles. One of the reasons that the Sun Singles was formed was so that singles could get together at the dances because some of the married men didn't want single guys dancing with their wives. I hope that you have a good time at Glen Eden, and if you would like to know my private opinion about other clubs in the area, send me a PM.
