Hi my nudist friends,
Where do you like to be naked? A survey from a nudist dating site [deleted] says: there are more than 100,000,000 nudist or nudist-curious. Most of them love to be naked at home. Only a few nudists love sunbathing. How about you?

Casual observation shows most nudists enjoy sunbathing and do so. I don't because I am too fair skinned.

Mostly at home, but also enjoy nudist resorts and beaches on the rare occassions when I can get there. I guess anywhere that is legal and safe!

anywhere i can thats legal. During the winter i'm on BLM land in the desert and summer in a nudist resort and always nude at home.

Most of the time at my secluded area on my Acreage. When I go to BC, different story. Wreck in Vancouver or 3mile in Penticton.

I enjoy being nude at home most of the time. But also like skinney dipping, hot tubbing and sunbathing, but don't get a chance to do these.

In my case I like to be nude within in the comfort at our house and our 5 acre land.Also of course at the nude resort that we are staying now for this whole summer.

Enjoy your summer, Ricki00! Wish I could try an extended nude stay somewhere. But not only can I not afford it, I fear I would become bored if the resort did not have something besides a petite pool and pentanque (whatever that is?)
I for one hate to sunbathe, prefer reading, board games, spinning, weaving, real hiking, dancing, crocheting, swimming (not floating, which is just sunbathing on the water.) I prefer doing this in the shade. We have several wild and mostly private acres, and have plans to develop hiking trails through some of it. We will then have to deal with poachers and armed marijuana growers using the trails. No where is perfect! I am mostly nude in the house when it is warm enough. Lately, I have started being nude when certain select friends are here. I found I was uncomfortable being nude when the others were clothed, but I persevered and it got better. I think maybe that clothing optional is not easier than universal nudity for me. Really though, I just prefer doing anything in nature rather than 'civilized' when nude. Except for the thorns.
Has anyone here ever gotten so used to being nude at home that they forget when they are elsewhere? This just happened to me last weekend, we were working at a rendezvous (not a nudist venue) and a huge wind blew up during the night. I sat up in bed and started to crawl out of our tarp shelter to make sure everything in camp was buttoned down tight, and realized I was about to go out completely nude with other people all around me. Then I actually thought to myself, "this wind feels so good, do I risk it?" The answer was, of course, "No!" but the point is, I actually forgot about being nude in the first place. Anybody here done that?

I try to stay nude mostly in my house. Sometimes I will take a long walk deep in the woods nude.

I have a secluded back yard and spa, so I enjoy being nude in my home and while outside or in the spa. It is a wonderful free and liberating feeling

I think that it is safe to presume that all of us at one time or another have forgotten that we were nude. Either at home or somewhere else. I know there have been plenty of times when I am at home that I have had to stop and check to see if I was nude before stepping out of my apartment.
As well as after riding my bike 30+ miles to friends in Tampa and taking a shower I have to remind myself that I am not home and that they are not nudists themselves that I need to get dressed BEFORE I leave the bathroom.
I think that Robert A. Heinlein was the first or one of the first to cite this phenomenon in his book "Stranger in a Strange Land." In the inner circle of church that Valentine Michael Smith creates there is a sign posted by the door leading to the outside world reminding the members to get dressed before exiting.

To answer Maria's last thought - yep, I've sure had occasions that I almost went out nude. Because of being nude around the house and on the patio, for instance, over a long weekend, it got to be a natural thing. I've stopped myself at the front door several times before I would go move the sprinkler, get the mail, etc...
