Sorry about that. I'll try pasting it in and see if it works:

A Short Autobiography of a Teenage Nudist

By

Peter G Mackie

I grew up in Scotland in the 1960s and moved to London when I was 16 in 1973.

Shortly after arriving in London, I saw an advertisement in Time Out magazine asking for people to join a nudist club in Kent.

I arrived at Eureka naturist club near Longfield early one evening.

Having never been naked in a public place before, I was a little bit embarrassed at first and was frightened to take off my clothes for about the first 10 minutes. Then, being determined to take the plunge, I took off all my clothes suddenly and very quickly and was never embarrassed about it again after that.

It had been something that I had always wanted to do since I went through puberty at the age of 11 or 12.

When undressing at night, I would have this ecstatic feeling and would walk around naked in my room for about fifteen to twenty minutes each night looking at myself in the mirror.

I also started to get sexually aroused around that time, although I didn’t really understand much about that at the time as, while it might seem hard to believe now, in the small town in Scotland where I grew up, at that time, many kids didn’t learn the facts of life until they were about 12 years old. No-one had explained to me what erections were although I probably had them most nights and would sit there, feeling sexually excited, listening to music like the early Pink Floyd in the dark, feeling as if I was floating in space.

I was generally considered to have grown up “too quickly”, but what my parents and other people at the time didn’t understand was that, probably due to my early puberty, I was in some sort of spiritual ecstasy much of the time, which came to me from a variety of sources such as listening to imaginative music, looking up at a starry sky at night, going for long walks in the country and becoming aroused by the changes in my own body.

It was also about this time that I saw pictures of a naked primitive tribe sitting around a fire in a magazine and I decided that, when I was older, or, as soon as I ever got the chance, I would travel somewhere where it was possible to be naked all the time.

My mother saw me naked regularly at that time in the home and later, when I was 15, some girls at school had stripped all the clothes off me, while they were having a prank
(which I enjoyed), but my visit to Eureka was the first time that I was naked amongst total strangers. However, it didn’t take me long to get used to it.

Fortunately, I was good-looking and had a good body and loved women looking at me naked and there wasn’t the emphasis in the media at that time like there is nowadays about sizes of genitals and of breasts etc.

That is a shortened version of the story.

For me, it was literally a voice in my head. I was in the Sierra and it came to me that I could take all my clothes off, since no one was around, or likely to be. I liked the feeling of sun on all of me, and feeling the light breeze. Somethings are just intuitive and a natural inclination.

I don't remember when I first started going nude. I was old enough to be left home alone when my parents would go out. I would strip down to watch tv mostly. Eventually worked up the nerve to go outside (at night) and walk around the back yard. It wasn't until the movie "Summer Lovers" came out in 1982 that I thought about going to a nude beach. Finally got to go this year.

I've been a sleeping nudist since gradeschool, when I discovered that I didn't need pajamas, and could sleep nude From then I was a closet nudist until last year. I had always dreamed of going to a nude beach, and then, while planning a summer vacation with my gf to the New York area, I found out about Gunnison, and convinced her to try it out. It was an epiphany! You almost feel one with the wind, the sand, the ocean, the trees... almost a mystical experience of oneness with nature. From then onwards, I told her I wanted to be a true nudist. She's starting to feel comfortable with the idea of being a nudist herself, more shyly at first, but getting there now. If we get married, we're also talking of raising our kids as nudists.

Like most people I knew nudists existed but had no interest in joining them as I was growing up. In the early 60s I was posted to Europe and on vacation decided to visit some World War II locations with my wife and three children then 7, 6 and 4. In August 1944 the First Special Service Force, The Devil's Brigade, a Canadian/American Force and forerunner of both Canadian and American Special Forces invaded the island of Isle Du Levant off the southern coast of France so it was natural to visit there. We caught an early morning boat for the trip to the island to give us lots of time to explore and when we arrived ... horror of horrors ... everyone was nude. We had the choice of waiting half an hour for the trip back to the mainland or joining in so after a quick discussion we doffed our clothes and began to explore the island. The feeling of being nude was great as everyone knows and the novelty of seeing other nude bodies wore off after about five minutes. My wife felt hesitant about being nude in front of the kids at first but that quickly wore off also and the kids were having a wonderful time. We spent the day exploring and just relaxing. We stayed overnight on the island and the next day was also one of great relaxation. We caught the last boat back to the mainland that evening and we looked back on it as the highlight of our vacation.

Used to run around the Parents' farm naked when I was VERY Young! Lots of "private" nudism (slept naked from about age 11 onwards) but didn't experience "public" nudism until Secondary School - no swimmers - you swum naked! Decided this was very nice, so regularly "forgot" the cozzie. LOTS of opportunities to swim / bake naked, and I was not slow to take them. The Wife has a similar background - quite "pro-nudity" parents, very "pro-nudity" choce of Holiday resorts, and she regularly slept naked from about 12 onwards. We both much prefer the company of Naturists to "Nornal" people - who we rightfully regard as NOT "Normal", especially during the summer months!

Incidentally, just think how much energy we could all save by encouraging people to sleep naked during the summer - it would reduce the demands of airconditioning systems, and the effect on Global pollution would surely be significant! Perhaps we should all jump on the Eco-Friendly bandwagon and start promoting the clothing free lifestyle as a good ecological and environmental choice! Might even help to eliminate some of the dogmatic "misunderstandings" too!

the very first time i 'heard' about it was while i was actually playing GTA Vice City. While driving in the cars or bikes you could 'tune in' to certain radio stations and listen to them. One of them was a comical station (VCPR - vice city public radio) and one of the 3 shows it cycled through was a 3 person discussion round table between a sneaky, robbing, would-be-saviour pastor who wanted people to send him money to reserve a spot for them in his salvation statue. The second one was a perv would-be-nudist and a blunt liar and swinger, while the third was one hell of a nutty mother that wouldn't even let her kids BATHE nude, praise them if they'd kill the postman, and tell them to whack their cheating-father when he returned home smelling of 'cheap perfume'.

On the whole it was quite negative regarding nudism, while all the same hilarious. At the time I thought that being naked just had to be wrong (that's how i was raised to believe and these guys weren't doing a good name for it either) so it kind of passed.

Some years later it came back through porn. I know what you might be thinking, and I know nudism hasn't got anything to do with porn, but God managed to use such a despicable thing to show me the true beauty of the nude human figure without any sexual connotations, and for all it's worth, I praise Him.

Now I just wanna get out of this damn island and go live in the states, work hard enough to be able to buy my own piece of land in a relatively secluded region so that me and my family will be able to live nude as much as possible without alarming anyone and, more importantly, without being peeked at. I can't wait to be able to relax in nature in my natural state

PS: Sorry for the long post, I just kept going lol.

As a couple we have always enjoyed being nude at home, especially when we could enjoy the sun streaming through our windows at home on a sunny day. One day in the mid 90's we just sort of reallized we enjoyed the nudist-like lifestyle as at-home nudists if there is such a thing, and after searching and learning about social nudism on the Internet for a couple of years we decided we would go to a nudist resort and experience it. The first resort we went to facilitated a life changing experience because we knew we were hooked. We have not worn a swimsuit since that day. Nudism has been good for our marriage, and our health. Nudist people are the best folks to be around. The fun,the relaxation, the honesty and the freedom all create an unsurpassed freedom for us. We still feel somewhat like little children each time we pass the gate of our favorite resort, and we stay at nudist resorts almost exclusively when we travel.
The Internet provided the information we needed to take the plunge, and we are very glad we did.

I was inroduced to naturism at the age of 16. It was in Corsica where we had a Youth camp. What i did not know, this was a naturist camp. When I found out i was already on the boat from marsaille to Ajattio. The first days where horrible. My friends, girls and boys teased me, but after a wyle i got used to it and today i am 64 and still enjoy it. Today i have a Guesthouse and go on nude hikes and give naturist tours. Unfortunally, my wife does not like to be naked with strangers, but has no objection if I go into nature with other people. would like to know from other people how they handle the situation where the partner does not want to join in this life style.

Hiking in the nude on bush and river hikes & enjoy nature

When I was a teenager in the mid 60's I just got out of the shower one afternoon when there was no one home. It felt good being nude. So I didn't get dressed. I was going around the house naked & my mother came home & asked me why I'm not dressed. I told her I was more comfortable being nude & wanted to see what it was like being a nudist. She said it was ok with her. I didn't really hear about it. I just wanted to try it. I'm glad I did & have been a nudist ever since. My wife doesn't understand or like the idea, but I go around naked anyway. That's a different topic.

OK, so here is my story.

When I was a child I slept naked and enjoyed being naked but my family was brought up to fear being seen. A fate worse than death would befall you if someone saw you naked. But I still wanted to be naked. At about age 10 or 12 I would sneak out at night in mid summer and run up the street naked a few blocks in the dark. It was very daring.

When I was 18 I found some guys stash of porn magazines. I had never seen a naked girl or a picture of a naked female, the 1950s had been very conservative where I grew up. Among the stack of porn magazines was a few "Nudist" magazines about nude recreation. Most of the photos in the "Nudist" magazines featured girls or young women in various poses. Some photos did include naked men playing the ubiquitous volleyball or at a beach with the naked women. The idea that there were people who actually got naked together and didn't turn into pumpkins or something worse was new and enticing. About the same age I was beginning to learn about naked women up close and personal.

Even reading that there were "nudist" clubs somewhere, I didn't know about any nudist clubs in my part of the world. For a couple more decades I occasionally looked for ads or other information but it wasn't very public. There was no Internet. TV never mentioned anything naked. It was so hush hush.

I got married, and started going naked in the woods sometimes. I moved to New Mexico and heard about a "traditionally" clothing optional hot spring. My wife an I found it after getting lost in the woods and scrambling up a mountain. We happened to be there at the same time as the annual hot spring trip by a local AANR travel club. The club lady filled our ears with the benefits of nudity. I got naked right away, and my wife eventually joined too. By then it was the late 1980s.

I was glad to meet other people with similar feelings about bodies and nudity. The more naked the better. Well, here I am.

I learned from it through my parents who were a bit hypocritical about it. I tried several times to have us all share as a family nudity like suggesting a nice skinnydip or soak in hot tub nude but never occured they forbid social family nudity. My mom was some what open to talking about nudity and our bodies but not enough to have it be visual. I had remembered asking her why people shave or dont shave and she said it was just personal preference, some dont like to be too hairy, so I asked well what is too hairy. She again said it varies I shave for other reasons she told me, if you have your dads genes then you might want to trim yours. I said well I have no idea who's genes I got so I just dropped my shorts and exposed my pubic area to her all she said was no you got my genes.

Had some extra late night time and thought I'd look through the topics way down at the bottom of the page that I'd never looked through before for all these years and this sounded interesting. So here's my story. It's similar to many.

I was born in the city but at the age of six we moved out into the country. Our house was situated within hundreds of acres of orange groves (central Florida in the middle 1950s) and was on one lake and near several others. So it was a perfect place for kids to play in without fear of strangers and to be able to roam and explore. Since we lived on a lake (not as rich folk but as rather poor grovers) me and the local boys would stay out all day long and into the night. Since we always wore shorts, usually at night but also during the day, we'd happen by the lake and want to go swimming. Well it was just like in the old days...we'd strip down buck naked and go skinny dipping. No big deal. Sometimes a distant neighbor would spot us but they didn't care. Probably reminded them of when they were kids. And on occasion when we had one of the few neighborhood girls with us, they'd join us too. Not one time did anyone sY or do anything sexual. It was just normal...the way God made all of us.

So it was just a normal part of our life back then. At night I'd run outside naked, jump on my bike and ride down through the pine forest out back to the roadway and sit on the brick wall there. There weren't many cars then but when one would pass by, no one would stop or yell anything weird to us. It was a different time.

As a young teen during the early 60s, I had a routine of spending Sunday mornings laying on part of the roof sunning, listening to the new music coming from England. It was a good time those days. Then the big event happended. About the age of 14, I was having difficulty sleeping, as I was going through a growing spurt and pajamas just wouldn't fit. So one night, after being naked anyway, I just went to sleep naked. Ahhh...Heaven! No more getting wrapped up in clothes trying to sleep. And you know, it just doesn't make since to sleep in clothing unless you are really cold...lol! But since that day, I've never worn sleep clothes. Only when with family members or friends that are not so free minded I'll wear a pair of loose fitting rugby shorts with no lining.

Just after this sleeping change, when no one was home once, I took the first big daytime step outside the house into the front yard, in the warm afternoon sun. What an experience! The closest house was hundreds of feet away and two very old people lived there with very poor eye sight so no chance of being seen by them. It was such a wonderous experience that I would do it more often, usually swiming naked just about everyday of the time I lived there.

Since then, I've been a naturist when I could, using that term as "someone who likes to be naked outside when they can but can't live full time in the nude." Haulover Beach Park in No. Miami Beach is my favorite haunt when I can get down there. Apollo Beach at the Canaveral National Seashore is another favorite spot. I was able to visit San Onofre Beach prior to it's shut down as a nude beach and besides a bunch of private property excursions, that's really it. Of course being a home nudist when I can (wife is a home nudist but has never gone naked to a public area before). Sorry if this was a tad bit long but there's just nothing like walking through the woods the way Adam and Eve did!

I had done some midnight "streaking" while growing up, but I had been taught that being seen naked was a fate worse than death. When I was 18 I got a summer job at a boat rental and morage on a lake. The guy let me stay in an old cabin on the property. Hidden in the clost was a stack of old nudist magazines from the 1950s. I was shocked and amazed. Here were photos of all these naked women (I had never seen a naked woman) and men just naked outside together. It was quite a few years later that I found a nudist group to join.
