Hi - I'm new here and new relatively new to nudism - and its amazing to see such a response (over 40 pages so far) - but thanks for putting me straight - as I often still get aroused walking around naked in the breeze or hot sun - lucky my wife doesn't mind ! - I assume this will fade after time - as I don't want to hide away inside - as being nude in the fresh air is the bestest feeling and I'm sure others would agree (just hope if I run into anyone they will excuse me while I cover it up.

I would like to welcome you to this group. You will find a lot of good info from time to time in it. However, I must caution you, do not believe all you read in here. The full truth can not be told. It will be editied out by a few who want to play sosme sort of little god over this group and make sure evrything is the way they want it, kind of like ted kennedy. On this subject there are a few who just is not going to have that an erection is ever ok while speaking nothing to the subject of females. So you have learned some things, but you have not learned the whole truth. again wlecome to the goup and have a great nude life.

Why on earth is it so difficult to understand that the vast majority of naturists/nudists would rather not see your erection....bouncing pass them, stearing them in the eye or used as a sun dial while you're lying down?
Is there a problem with displaying some manners even in a nudist/naturist environment? If you really don't care what other nudist/naturist think, if you don't care if you offend anyone else, then it really wouldn't matter if you had an erection or not. Many of us wouldn't want to meet someone who has such little respect or disregard for the feelings of others. If an erection is so natural and shouldn't be hidden and has just as much the right to be seen as your new sneakers, then why is it that you only choose to display this at nudist venues?

What I said is that you and some others have gone on and on about how if a male does get an erection he is no a true nudist. true nudist do not get erections according to the slant you put on things and this my friend is a lie, If you never got or get an erection it is cause you have a medical problem. I am just tired of a few people acting like it never happens to them and they are so special and true nudist. The second part of my contention is that there is always this talk about male arousal and never about females. It is like females never get the urge which they do. When females get aroused there is no overt signal such as an erection. I've been a woman for a very long time and have been aroused on a nudist beach, but it is not obvious to anyone looking at me. It would have to be on VERY close inspection to know that and THAT is not an issue at a nudist venue.

First off, it's pretty easy to hide behind a key board and say pretty stupid stuff...something you wouldn't to someone's face. If you can't be a man and a gentleman, how 'bout finding someplace else to vent.
No where in my posts in the previous 40 pages have I ever said a "true nudist" doesn't get an erection. Whether I get them or not is not the question. The fact that you do, certainly doesn't prove your a man.........just reread you childish post about my lack of being a man.
For arguments sake, I have gotten them, numerous times....but I am discreet about it and don't advocate what it is you are posting here. No one has said females don't get aroused, it's obvious we males are the ones that sexual/pleasurable arousal is so obvious.
Before spouting off about what someone supposedly said, how 'bout doing some research and back your accusations up with facts, not what it is YOU have read between the lines.
Do yourself a favor...........don't try and reply........I'm done with this thread.

I am really amazed at what I read in here...
UNBELIEVABLE...
women admitting to getting "aroused"... men being castigated for getting "aroused".... and all the while promoting "freedom" and "natural beauty"... yet treating an erection as an aweful obscene display.
statement (presumably from a woman) like "I'd rather not have to look at your erection" or something similar..... well... don't look then...
you dont have to look... is the erect penis somehow more ugly than the non-erect one ?
a man walking, sitting or lying with an erection is no less "natural"... no less "beautiful" ... than one without... and having an erection is simply a "natural" phenomenon.
This paranoia over erections is quite amusing actually... I really dont think I could deal with such nonsense...
it appears... from what I am reading in here... that in some "clubs" rules "forbid" erections... and males can be "disciplined" or "banned" for such "unacceptable" behaviour.... gee... is this for real ?
The very thing that may "arouse" one man may actually "shrink" another.... if one is at all serious about "natural" beauty of the human body... one ACCEPTS the male with or without his erection.. and every state in between... unless one believes that having an erection is an "embarrassing" occurence, and if that is how one thinks then one is back to square one... one is no different from non-nudists who cant bear to see themslves naked in a mirror...
I could most probably walk around the whole day on any nudist beach and not get hard... but thats not the point... its the PRINCIPAL of the thing... and until we deal head on with these glaring inconsistencies... the rest of society will continue to laugh at and spurn nudists, regading them as just some freak cultists.

Thanks Cheri, that is my point exactly. As I said and fireproof apparently did not read, I am not saying it should be a routine thing and something that is desired but that it does happen and it does not mean the person is bad. I just don't think men should be given a bad name cause it happens when as you say it happens to women only not seen, which is my point. Thanks again.

Smendes, the paranoia relates to the very real possibility --in the right-wing, conservative culture of which we are presently a part-- that gains with respect to places and times that one may enjoy being nude in public might be lost. Do you think "Focus on the Family" or James Dobson go out of their way to foster naturists?
Maybe Pat Robertson?
The conservatives of this country would, in my opinion, readily equate nudism with with sexual promiscuity. In their pinched worlds erections in a public environment mean sexual activity is rampant. Thus the issue is not whether an erection is merely a natural occurrence, it is that such must be modestly dealt with (in a naturist context) if nudist endeavors are to continue unabated.
And Grandad, you lost me long ago. I am unsure just what you are advocating, if anything, in this forum. Perhaps FireProf is right: enough already?

I appreciate your explanation and sympathise with your cause.
I dislike fundamentalist hypocrites... like Creflo Dollar, John Haggie, etc.
I laud all attempts to legitimize homosexuality on an equal footing with marriage... I support all efforts to legalise prostitution.. I always look at pornography every chance I get and support it with my dollars.
I detest do-gooders who want to legislate their version of morality on everybody else..
I AM a nudist... because I love nakedness at all times... but I cant deal with your version of "restrained nudity"...
I will have erections whenever they happen... I will engage in group sex in the open whenever the opportunity presents itself..
I am not bothered by social customs, laws or public opinion... and I have found others who actually think like me..
we are not a threat to society because we keep to ourselves within our own group (which is growing rapidly).. but..
society sees us as a threat to them because we do not conform to their "rules"... nor dance to their music..
The police force dont have the resources to patrol miles of desered beaches looking for naked people/sex addicts...
maybe your police force has more resources and/or more determination to harass naked people ?.. perhaps they have nothing better to do with their time...... if so, what a pity..
but we, in paradise island, can enjoy our "perverted" ways with minimal interference from anyone..
be BOLD... be a STRONG warrior... do your thing... and have NO FEAR of anyone...
and as the song say "only one life to live... live your life the way you like it... dont care what they say"
