This is what troubles my wife with us posting a picture on a nudist/naturist website, "what if someone we know see's it?"

I've replied that we then have an open door to start the communication with this person as to why they were on a nudist website. In the end, we may end up either converting or finding out that someone we know actually is a nudist as well.

She still isn't buy it, so I'll keep trying!

This may have been mentioned before but if the reaction of the person seeing the photo is "bad" the reply could be... "Well, what were you doing looking at these pictures?".

In fact, it is in Cheri's yahoo club when I was there during her canuding trip couple years back. I feel if a nude picture is in good taste and not over-emphisizing on certain areas of the nude body, then it is a nudist photo. I belong to a number of yahoo nudist groups and I find some of them have pics that have been posted by men of their 'privates' and nothing else and I feel that is innapproriate. People who emphisize on their 'privates' and not on the freedom nudism brings makes me believe they are there for the wrong reasons.

Yes Dave, I am a member of Whispering Pines nudist resort in Ocean Isle Beach, but I have not visited, nor will I be visiting the one in Tabor City in the near future.

Ray, Coventry-NC in Tabor City is now G-rated, just not as built-up as Whispering Pines. Management is very nice.

Cheri,

I am sure the management is very nice, but I still won't visit there. Too far out of my way and prices are double of what I pay at WP.

hi cheri...you are very right about coventry, at one time, i think they were considered to be for the swingers, but now that is just not so. while i like whispering pines much better, and will only attend that resort in the future, i find that coventry was really a nice place, with great people that operate it. i have met several people that live in the neighborhood adjoining whispering pines, and have enjoyed my stays there. hope to see some of you guys there this summer. dave

I have in the past taken photos of myself and others, nude. Many of them were taken with the same purpose, and in the same attitude, as most of the clothed vacation photos which fill up so many shoe boxes in so many homes. Some of those pics are now the only reminder I have of cherished trips, or friends who have moved on and fallen out of touch. One, taken of me coming out of the surf on a remote beach, will always be my favorite reminder of the me that I recall - before the cancer surgery. Some of these vacation pics are as cheesy and innocent as any "kid building a sand castle" snapshot. Others might embarass the subject if shown to their high school age kids. But those might be true of clothed shots, too, no?
Some of the other photos (which I developed & printed myself) are less innocent. The best of these are approaching good erotica, IMHO.
But NONE of these photos was taken with the intent or purpose to appeal to prurient interest. They don't demean the creative act by imbueing it with overtones of conquest or competition. The most explicit are still a celebration of an act of life, a paen to the vital energy of the universe. I certainly don't classify them as porn. Some of the more hidebound denizens of social heirarchy might disagree with me; of course, they will never see the images in question.

It seems to me that the nature of pornography requires intent on the part of both the producer and the consumer. If someone takes a photo or views a photo in an open and accepting frame of mind, pornography cannot be in operation. If the image, or the viewer, expect to accomplish nothing but arousal it won't matter if the image is a nude body or a tree stump, the intent of pornography is there.

I don't think the fact that a photo shows a nude body makes it porn. Unfortunatley, most of the commercial porn does involve nude bodies. It also usually involves sheets -that doesn't make sheets pornographic, does it?

Before I quit teaching in the public school, I think I would have been far more careful about releasing nude photos of me into the universe. But there are some published shots of me working at a Folk Festival in the 70's that come pretty close to nude (wearing only cut-off jeans that were torn up the sides), and it didn't cost me my job, so perhaps the times were less touchy.

So, nude does not equal porn. Taking or giving an image of yourself is as personal as introducing yourself to those you speak to on the beach (clothed or nude). I don't give out my SS# to strangers, and I might be careful of who takes my photo - but less so now than years ago.

Enjoy yourself!

I have taken nude pictures of alot of my friends... and the ettiquette i follow is simple...i ask permission to take the photo... then make sure that the subject is the first person to see it and then we discuss acceptable ways that the picture may be used... and I always stick to what we agree!

photos nude or prude are to remind us of better times, I have about 200 pics on cd that I keep for my own use, GF will let me take photos of her as long as they are deleted and not kept,
porno is not porno, its only a photo, some one has to look at it and say its porno.

I have always sisnce 17 wanted to be a nudist. My wife said no from the start and still does. I only went nude at home when alone for many many many years. Two years ago I had the opportunity to go to a nudist resort (who accepted men without a woman) and loved it. I decided I would continue. I got my self a yahoo nudist name andprofile. Some nudist said anyonecan do that, so I added a pic of me nude sitting at my computer. Since I have had nudist in nudist rooms tell me I am a dirty old man for having tha pic. So you cant win for loosing sometimes. I hapen to enjo seeing nude people of both sexes and all ages. If that makes me a porn man so be it. What I am saying each has to do his or her on will and not worry about what others say cause it is a split decision. I would not ask any one to show that I woud not show nor show anyone who wouldnot show (exept for the profile pic) which iam thinkingof removing. However be assured if I ask for a Pic I am not asking for sex just a pic.

Ok, this is my first post here...about pics: First of all, naturism or nudism is partly about body acceptance... What is normal? I have seen so many differnt shapes and sizes...Does it matter? It's whats inside that counts. Then, to post pics or not to post...Is that the question? Well, I first thought "I only want our pics (my wife and I) to be seen by our nudist friends and no one else", but then, I realized....Every time we were going to the beach, there were gockers hiding out on boats with zoom lenses, and hiding in the near by trees and bushes taking pics. Some even had the nerve to strip and lay face down so only thier bums would be seen and hide a little camera under their arm to take pics with when no one was paying attention... Who knows where they will end up, but I'm not gonna stop enjoying wonderful days of clothes free recreation over it... And, as far as a request from someone you don't yet know...offer a clothed pic, and if it isn't good enough, quit talking to them! PS: Simply put: Porn is pics engaging in sexual acts VS tasteful nudity being nude in a non sexual way.. If anyone wants to chat: olyfitpro@aol
