If you dont care about what others think about you nude then why would you care if someone sees a picture of you nude? It is basically the same as in person.

I used to model for art classes, and I have friends who love photography. So I have been in hundreds of drawings, paintings, and photographs nude. To my thinking all of them have been tasteful. Ok, most of them anyway :)

I have nothing against naturist photos because, unlike pornography, they are not degrading as far as I can tell.

I didn't read each and every post, so forgive me if I repeat anything here.

Nudity does NOT equate to pornography. A photo can be pornographic and not include totally nudity. Likewise, a nude photo that includes the crotch is not necessarily pornographic. It all has to do with the intent of the photo. If the person is totally nude and all body parts are clearly visible, male or female, AND it's a natural pose or setting, then it probably is not pornographic.

Nudist sites sometimes include photos of a man with an erection or partial erection that looks so natural, it isn't pornographic. Likewise, photos of a woman in a natural pose that show labia that are open isn't necessarily pornographic. It all has to do with the intent of the photo.

I love having my picture taken. I think nudist resort managers are too strict re. picture taking. Photography with permission should be the rule. I realize that managers are concerned about phone cameras, but more openness with permission might help that situation. Another idea would be to have photo platforms. I hope this summer (if it ever gets here) to take more of myself. My gallery is skimpy.

I love taking photos, unfortunately my camera was stolen so I'm restricted to my cell phone camera. I take nude photos of myself. Nude photography is only porn when the artistic value gets lost and the sexual implication creeps in. I would take nude photos for other people but no one has asked and I don't advertise.

Nude photos are always interesting to me - don't ask me to define pornography from nude photography. I guess I know the difference. I'm having a little trouble uploading my Avatar to the admin. I have a photo of me standing next to my car - both of us are nude! Hope that meets the standards.

Hi Melissa
I know you from NFN which is much more save and secure. I would not give pictures to strangers you dont know where there land up. You get strange people. I make photos of my self for the secure websites and let photos taken on the beach or on hikes but that is it. Stay as you are. Keep well

I have a friend that is just starting out in the photography business and he took some pics of me for his portfolio, no full frontal nudes (only one he snapped of me getting out of the water at the beach but that won't be used in his portfolio, it was just for me). I have a very nice pic of me leaning back against a tree almost reclining, my arms above my head, naked from the waist up, he did some awesome editing and changed it to black and white. The pics he took at the beach have the illusion of me being naked, which is more stimulating than actually seeing me naked. I have to say it was a confidence booster, and if you have a trusted friend and want some pics for yourself, go for it, just be careful who you share them with!!

I meet a guy as I was preparing to go freehiking. He asked me to take a picture of him to send to his wife which I was glad to do. He mentioned she will join him at the hot springs nude, but won't hike with him that way. She is hesitant with other people around to remove her swimwear. He then asked if he could take my picture and send it to her. I thought sure, why not. So I posed at the same gate at the beginning of the trail. Ran into him a few hours later and he told me she enjoyed seeing the picture of me and of him at the trail she recognized. He thinks it will make it easier for her to be more open to social nudity and maybe next time may at least try some freehiking. This was actually my first picture nude (at least that I know of) and it was fun to pose for it. I hope to find them at the trail someday and enjoy a hike with them.

Photos of nudes are not porn if they are not sexually exploitative, or degrading by averages standards.

Legitimate nude photos are those which are harmonious with the same essence of photos of clothed people. They are more light-hearted, can be artistic, or mimic clothed family photos.

Pictures of me are borderline, even with the highest standard applied to the overall appearance.

I just returned from Italy where I enjoyed the art and culture of that wonderful country. Did you know Michelangelo was asked by one Pope to paint trousers on some of his models on the Sistine chapel? Today we would think that request absurd. There is very little or perhaps nothing that is evil or wrong, except for how it makes you think.

To gain confidence I always heard: "Imagine the person sitting in his underwear." Funny, I had nothing on at all.

Most all our nudist friends along with us, carry a camera with us. We took a group photo at the nude beach of all our friends this summer. One of the ladies surprised her husband when she agreed to be in it, cause she had never agreed to have a nude photo taken out like that. It was not porn or she or any of the ladies would not have let it be taken.

It was just a rememberance of a great day with great friends.

Its great to see such a relaxed approach to nude photography and it is all in the moment. If its not exploitive and simply people relaxing and enjoying themselves sans clothes as we all like to do what is the issue.

The question about what is pornography is totally different as it has sexual or power / control type overtones in my opinion. Most of the comments here seem to relatwe to people enjoying the freedom of nudism porn has nothing to do with that.
