Some resorts tends to organise event like this. Sometimes on the beach there is also a spontaneous action to make a nude pageant.
What do you think about this? Is it a way to promote nudism or rather is it reducing woman body (as most pageants are about women) to a pleasure subject?

Marpie,

Most nude pageants I've seen have both men and women involved and the winners are normally picked on their inner beauty as opposed to their physical shape.

If the nude padgent is like "Nudes a poppin", where they exploit a womans body then I am against it. If it is like Spontanudity says, and they have both men and women, then I think its okay.

If it's like the 4H clubs where everyone is welcome and everyone gets a blue ribbon of one kind or another, that has merit. Still, as long as Nudism needs to distinguish itself as a family activity from the "sex object" mentality, I don't think a pageant is a good idea. I would much rather see it called and run as a "talent appreciation day" or something similar.

most of the Royalty pagents at nudist parks stopped because of the exploitation, based more on looks. If it were to be held on inner beauty as well, it would be better.

Spontanudity;

Nudes a poppin is a so called nudist club that has a beauty padgent. Actually it is a bunch of women exposing themselves in all different positions, and all these guys taking pictures of them. You can see "Nudes a poppin" pictures on the voyeur websites.

I've seen some of the photos... surely the resorts can't honestly be considered naturist friendly???

The Nudes A-poppin' draws strippers and others who are not nudists. They allow videos and cameras. I am not at all comfortable with this type of event. That's one of the reasons this park lost its AANR affiliation a number of years ago.

Yeah, I have heard of Nudes-A-Poppin' it's a stripping compatition that has both men and women strippers. It is very sexually based and also the general public is allowed in the club with camcorders and cameras. I don't consider this as a nudist pagent at all, nor do I consider the resort to be a positive representation of nudism since they hold such an event.

Cheri,

Is it normally a naturist resort or a swingers club?

I can asnwer that, Spontanudity. It is normaly a nudist resort. The name of the resort is the Ponderosa Sun Club, and I think it's in Indiana.

It sounds like the contest does little to promote naturism. I wonder what there motivation is to hold the contest. I can hardly imagine a geniune naturists would be happy about the situation.

The Miss Nude World is from the poderosa club, I think she is eaither a stripper or a porn star. They make money selling tickets to the event. I talked to one guy from the area that goes there all the time and he says there are a lot of swingers there. A lot of guys go there and have there pictures taken with the women.

The short and simple of it, I was told, is to make money to help support the park the rest of the year.
