Alas, becoming a nudist has certainly increased the number of men who ask me for dates/ sex. But I still haven't met a guy who is compatible....

Hey Melissa,
Mine of course is a male perspective, yet I started out much as you did: nudist at home, social nudist, etc. I never asked any single women out that I met at a nudist resort or activity, simply because I was never seriously attracted to any of them (and as you well know, single women are very underrepresented in the nudist community). With my wife and me, before we even started dating, I talked to her about my nudist activities, and she said, "I could never do that." About a year later (just before we began dating, in fact) I invited her to come with me to White Tail Park, and she agreed. She was pretty shy at first (she was quite shy back in those days anyway), as you might imagine. But we dated, got married, and we are steadily getting more and more involved in the nudist life. I was always careful not to push her into things she wasn't ready for (certainly I wouldn't like to be pushed that way), and she truly enjoys it now. She suggested Club Orient as our most recent destination in the Caribbean, and she's even posed nude for a photographer friend of ours (artistic photography, nothing pornographic). We go without clothes at home if it's warm enough (practicality has a lot to do with being nude at home), and we leave doors open all the time. We only close them to restrict access for our kids (our boys are 1 and 4 years old and we have to keep them safe).
Anyway, I think that some of the previous opinions are correct that say you're better off finding someone who is a "textile" and then introducing them to nudism. You'll probably know if you have someone special when they understand you don't mean it as a sexual come-on but rather as sharing something in your life that is precious to you. Hope this helps. You offer much food for thought with your questions!

melissa,
its the same in the nudist world as it is in the textile. takes a while to find that special person. plus with more men than women being nudist, you have a lot larger pool to pick from.
and look at it this way. they may not be THE ONE, but they may become great friends.

Calmnude is right Melissa, you may not meet your mate at the club, but you will have a lot of friends.

It's easier to make friends in a nudist setting anyway, no? Everyone instantly has something in common (nudity), and no one is wearing any status symbols -- unless you count tattoos as "status." My wife and I have met some of our best friends through nudism.

Speaking of Nudist Family Home Life, here's one of those "Out of the Mouths of Babes" stories. This morning our 4-year-old, who runs around naked here more than anyone, told me and my wife that he wants to be the Easter Bunny for Halloween. Of course we asked him why, and he said, "The Easter Bunny doesn't wear any clothes."
Can't argue with that, can ya?? Great wisdom sometimes comes from the youngest among us!

I thought Peter Cottontail wore a fur coat? The only nude rabbits I have seen were the ones being cooked.

I find this sad, unless of course, your personality has changed since becoming a nudist (Those changes like confidence can show through).

Bornnude when a woman feels good about herself and has more confidence does that make her more appealing to men? This is an honest question, not try to be funny this time.

I thought men wanted a woman who he can control? That's one of the many reasons I'm not married yet. That and Mr. Right hasn't come along... has anyone seen him????

control? melissa, youre meeting the wrong men. it is a partnership, and there are a lot of men who want that. too many women want someone "to take care of them" and accept the control. and men just take it. gotta keep searching.

Melissa, I can see your experiential history in your comment. I agree with Calmnude ... you are meeting the wrong men. Most men want a life partner, not someone whom they can control.
Naturally, Dan :)

I'm not meeting the wrong men, I'm not meeting any men! LOL I guess I have some perception issues I have to deal with. Fifty years of therapy and I'll be ok, right? :)
