AAAARGH! My long nightmare continues. Today I logged on as usual, and was pleased to see that there were no fewer than 37 active topics. But when I clicked on the link, a screen came up informing me that there were NO active topics! I hit the Back button and returned to the page which still showed 37 active topics. All those topics ... and I can't access them. This happened to me quite a few times several months back, but I thought things were more or less back to normal. What gives?
Something that works for me is to select "Active Topics" from the Forums Menu drop-down list at the top of the screen --- and sometimes I have to select it several times before the list of Active Topics is shown. Then I use the "Back" function of my browser to get back to the list each time I've read a topic. I'm not sure what I'll have to do to get back to the list after posting this message.

I haave noticed that Melissa Starr is missing from the general members' list. Yet when I hit the menu to bring up the "M" list of members, she is still there with 883 postings. Something doesn't look right.

Thanks, balataf, for pointing that out, but there is a mistake somewhere.
There are three options that we have with problem posters.
1] Simply lock their account, which leaves the posts and profile intact but simply prevents the poster from logging in.
2] Delete the profile, which changes the username of the posts to n/a, and also prevents the poster from logging in. This makes it more difficult to restore the membership if desired.
3] Delete all posts along with the profile. This is usually done in extreme cases of spamming, where nothing said by the poster was of any value.
In Melissa's case, the first option was chosen. She still appears in the list as melissastarr, and her account retains the option of being restored. Perhaps you misspelled it.

Admin, I usually use my Samsung tablet to read the forum. Recently I get a message when I access the web site where the listing of forums is. It says Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009', Subscript out of range: '[number 1]', etc. The tablet's OS is Android. Any suggestions?
Thanks Charlie

One thing I might say is that Admin cannot be everywhere all the time. Not possible. I occasionally send a message to him about spammers, but only because I happen to run into them, and not because I'm omnipresent. In one sense, it's our forum, just as much as a pristine Lake Tahoe nude beach is "our" beach. We help keep it clean and orderly, although we are not authoritative. In the same light, it's a group project to help keep this forum free of however short-lived spammers and other miscreants.

Then how do you suggest I get an answer to my question?

Hmm, that is a different problem - beyond my ability to answer, Dleatr. I don't have that problem myself on this forum. I wonder if there is an app you could download to your tablet to take care of that problem. Just an uneducated thought.

Charlie, I just saw this post. Sorry for the delay. It's the first time anyone has reported this. Has anyone else had this problem?
I use a Samsung android tablet, but I have not noticed any problems. Let's see if anyone else has.

It's working today, but not always. I haven't done anything new or different. Usually I'm naked when I login, today I'm clothed and it works. Now I'm really at a loss as to what's happening. Thanks for your help.

Perhaps you have to be clothed to login to a naturist website

The site has been abnormally slow to respond for the past week or so. Is there a problem with the server? Or is it just me?
