I believe that legislation should start at home: all politicians should be required to wear top-to-toe burkas (complete with veil and speaking grill) whenever they vote on restricting peoples rights to how they dress (or undress).
Cheers!

I hope those politicans don't get the kind of peer pressure the teens get, like what Kim said. Well they may suffer from the opposite effect: being pressure by a small group of narrow-minded but vocal politicans.

Burkas would just be for politicians - you know, the sort who want to even up the world, by giving people in Arabic countries freedom from restrictive regimes and introducing more restrictions here
Cheers!

As in "Women should be not seen and not heard either"
It seems many current politicians will support women's rights in foreign countries, but not support the Equal Rights Amentment here.

Just a thought: would ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment (or "Amentment" for that matter ) immediately resolve the issue of women's top-freedom
Is that what our great leaders are afraid of?
Cheers!

i would not be surprised if this person wears swimming trunks when taking a bath ,because they hate to look down on the unemployed.LOL
He needs to drop the puritan holier than thou mind-set, and get acclimatized to today's freedoms - one of which is the right to enjoy wearing or not wearing anything in designated areas.people die in wars to protect our freedom -don't let modern day 'men-in-suits' take them away.

That's for sure. If he thinks he can tell kids how to dress, (and he can't), he'd sure have a field day with people like us. He takes issue with seeing the waistband and top of boxer shorts. Positively scandalous! I guess I just shouldn't wear any(thing), so I don't outrage him and offend his sensibilities, by exposing my "intimate garments."
This law will never pass. The guy is a first-term legislator. Read immeasurably naive.

Randy,
If he keeps this up, and he might well be a last term legislator
By the sounds of things, the only thing he's trying to legislate against is the wearing of low riding pants, because he doesn't like getting a "glimpse" of boxers or G-strings. Presumably skipping the pants would meet the letter of the law - and meet his complaint, as he wouldn't get any more mere glipses!
Cheers!

A lot of the problem is the parents, and lot of the fault is the government too. When you grew up you feared doing something wrong because your parents would punish you, or your teacher, or the police. But now days, parents are afraid to punish their kids because they are afraid of being report to child welfare. Teachers don't dare punish students much less correct them for fear of the parents or school board. The way the laws are now, you can murder someone and if you get a good lawyer, get off scott free. No wonder kids can wear what they want to and do what they want too, parents have been legislated out of the loop.
