I agree IrishRed, just put the sun block on your private parts like you would any part of your body. I have seen people at the beach make a big production out of it, like they wanted everyone to notice what they are doing. I have seen the applying of sun block to partners too, your right IrishRed sometimes it does look kinda sexual.

Depends on the speed of application and length of time they linger on a particular area not to mention the facial reaction of the one it's being applied to. At my last visit, finally got up the courage to ask one of the ladies to apply lotion on my back and there was nothing sexual about it until she began to go lower. Began to feel a tingle between my legs and so told her thank you but I can get that area myself. So, going back to the erection post, do what you can to stop it before it starts. I've applied lotion to my privates at the pool with no problem. It isn't sexual unless it's being used as a lubricant instead of sunscreen.

I agree SailorDave, discretion when applying sunscreen is best. In fact, I apply the stuff before actually heading out into the sun if at all possible...Does anyone have a favourite type of sunscreen that they swear by? I spent an inordinate amount of time at Lake Bronson in Washington last summer and settled on the Avon product because of it's effectiveness as a mosquito repellent too...A trivial thing, I know...Just wondering?

Good point bikeracer, sun blocks needs to be applied BRFORE you go into the sun. Avon does have a good sun block product. I am partial to water babies myself.

Bikeracer, I like No AD, 45 for babies, stays on a long time, is waterproof and not greasy. The last time I was at Sauvie Island, I only had to reapply once all day. I always put sunscreen on before I venture out for the day be it to a nudist destination or otherwise. Hugs, Cheri

Went to my local Recreation Center with my family yesterday... After ejoying the pool for a while (some days wearing suits is difficult), my wife and I sat while the kids played.
I started noticing the suits the others in the pool were wearing....
Men: Men don't ever seemed too concerned... The suit style is not speedo but baggies, doesn't seem to matter.
Women: This is another matter entirely. Most women were wearing one peice suits, the teens and younger 2 peice. Most of the women were over weight but the suit style differed greatly.
I was most impressed by the women who, while being modest (one peice suits) did choose the 'nylon' one piece style. There were a couple who choose the "lets hide everything" approach and wore the suit with the skirt or dress on top. I suspect that the suit style says a lot about someones body image.
I, myself feel much more concious about body image when wearing a pair of trunks than my birthday suit.
One more side note here... I wonder if those suits would be chosen if you were able to try them on wet?

I noticed that I, too, am more self-conscious about being in a swimsuit than in my birthday suit. At this point I'm starting to see that I look better bare than with the suit- I've yet to find a suit that flatters me!

I'll quadruple that Melissa...Birthday suit always fits better! ...Thanks Cheri for the advice a few posts ago regarding the sunscreen. I haven't even heard of the brand but will keep an eye out. I'm definitely going to need something which lasts the first few times out at least!..Just call me Mr. Pale.
One last thing here which is off topic but don't want to start a whole new one...I've recently changed my address and haven't received the new AANR Bulliten (sp?)...Has everyone received their copy?

I havnt gotten mine yet, so maybe it will make it to ya Bikeracer.
Oh ya, Cheri, thats the same stuff I use. I LOVE the stuff, and its a great price :) Plus to cover three people (One of whom (myself) needs a vast amount of lotion) it lasts a long time since we only reapply when we Need to. I usually pick up the blue container (Not the baby one), have you used both and you like the baby one better? I think I have but cant remember.
Bikeracer, I usually find the bottle on the very bottom rack on the display of suntan lotions.
