Kim, We also have Kahena Beach, south of Hilo on the Big Island. We have Polo Beach, west of Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu, but we've had some recent problems with cops here. They patrol about every 6-7 years on Oahu, and we're in the cycle now...

Lol Don, I understand you have to be careful. I have a friend that lives on Oahu, and she says that go nude at the beach is not acceptable. I guess you can do it if you don't get cuaght.

there is also a couples only nudist resort in the yucutan, and on bonaire as well (have been told it is peaceful and offers some privacy in places), but hawaii sounds great.

Don,
It's a shame for such a paridise like Hawaii not to have permissable nude beaches. But we love the Islands and will return.

It is all about money. We are just a small % of the population. So they will cater to the large % to get more bucks, simple economics. Dave...

Personal recommendations for honeymoon: Eden Bay Resort in the Dominian Republic; Maui sun club on the island of Maui, HI; Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs, CA; Hidden Beach Resort in MX; Cypress Cove, Kissimmee area, FL.
Eden Bay: Lounge in the beautiful serenity of aqua to sapphire blue waters, palm trees swaying in the breeze and sounds of waves lapping on the white sandy beach. Weather is great and the food and beverages are something that you will never forget. Some of the planned activities included speed walks, yoga at Oceanside, pool games, volleyball and tennis and... Theme parties just about every night. Treat yourselves to one of the most memorable experiences of your lives - come join in the fun! You can make reservations using this link. http://www.edenbay.com/Res_Step1.php?L=E&GoBack=Main&Promo=cherial There are a multitude of things to do when staying at Eden Bay. Since your stay is limited, I think you'll find at least one day spent enjoying a "decompression" period. If you don't allow for this, the transition from the hassle of everyday life to the calm serenity of Eden Bay may be too much. Once you've settled in you can enjoy a leisurely massage, a relaxing swim, an invigorating Kayak ride, scrumptious meals, delicious tropical drinks, etc., etc. If however you'd like to experience the island, might I suggest that you might want to ask your taxi driver who picks you up at the airport to divert a bit through Sosua and Cabarete on your trip from the airport to the resort. Sosua is a town founded in the '40s by German Jewish immigrants escaping Germany during W.W.II it is quite quaint and walking the streets of town is a pleasant experience. Sosua beach has many vendors selling their wares and some very good deals can be had there. Cabarete is a "younger" town and is popular with many young Europeans. It is also a highly respected windsurfing area and many bars line the beach where wind surfers and their audiences congregate. There are excursions you can take from the resort to do snorkeling in Rio San Juan to jeep safaris, horseback riding, casinos, river rafting with waterfalls, etc. The mangrove and ocean cave tour out of Rio San Juan is interesting enough to do twice, I've been told. Not knowing exactly what you might be interested in, I ask that you contact Tom Fernstrom (one of the owners) or Patricia Gorden, hotel manager at the resort: Edenbay@verizon.net.do, direct for additional information. I'm sure you'll have a great time. If there is anything you want them to check out and report to you, let me know.

Kim,
That's right - the Grand Lido Resorts in Jamaica (great honeymoon spots, btw) charge extra for their nude facilities, having realized that nude vacationers (a) are often financially upscale, and (b) are undersupplied to in upmarket resorts.
Cheers!

Dave,
The good news is that more and more upscale resorts are providing for nude guests, so eventually prices should even up.
Cheers!
