Actually, I usually hose myself down. Those baby-wipes I clean him up with are WAY too small for me!

I have a good friend that has MS, and is in a wheel chair. He says he is more acepted in nudism than he is in society in general.

I've seen plenty of people at resorts that had body imperfections. In the textile world alot of those 'problems' could easily be hidden with a variety of swimsuits, etc. I have also noticed besides being more tolerrant of other's physical defects, when someone needs help, there are plenty of volunteers at the ready at nudist places :-) (handy tip)>>>a steam machine also works gr8 to clean up a messy baby! lol

As I've said, the body is just the vessel for the body. We may not be all "10s", but for the most part, nudists are at least 11s.

Huh? The body is just the vessel for the body? Please clarify.

I think she meant it is the vessel for the soul. Don't quote me, of course. Cheri?

Exactly Philzer. My Ex had many body image issues (one being on and off anorexia). She didnt like the idea of naturist way, when I got her to go she thought everyone was looking @ her, etc. The second time she was better.
I had hoped it helped, but 6 months after the family split up she got married and got a tummy tuck and breast job. But she also doesnt mind the kids and I living a naturist lifestyle so I think its helped her, she just maybe went too long thinking one way about herself and cant change it or is unwilling to.
I have a friend with a similier case, but she kepy on going and is now a happy, healthy, content with herself individual. There are even articles on it (I read about it in the Bulletin, about an article in 'Self' magizine)

I agree with you Cheri. Nice thing about nudism is that you are accepted for who you are and not by what you wearing or how you look.

This is my first post on this site, Hello all!
I convinced my wife to go to Haulover beach this last June. We then went back in February. We love it there.
Over the years we had put on weight. Not obese but too busy watching it. After the first visit to the beach I noticed that my wife seemed more comfortable with her body. After this last visit she stated an interest in losing weight and getting in shape. I agreed that I needed to do the same. Over the month we have taken off weight by watching what we eat and getting daily exercise.
I am not sure that we would have started to take care of our bodies if not for first going to Haulover and getting comfortable with who we are (and getting acceptance from all who were there) and then realizing that we needed to take care of yourselves.
We experienced Body Acceptance but also the realization that we needed to get in shape. Finally, we have never felt more comfortable than with other nudists.

Nice to hear that you had a good experience at Haulover and that you are adopting a healthier lifestyle.

I was talking to someone the other day, and remaked that, if everyone was obligated to go nude, we'd probably take much better care of ourselves. Clothes, though having many functions, are often used to hid our less flattering parts. Understood. But maybe most of us (me included [to the max]) are so prone to take the path of least resistance, to settle for a next larger waist band, for instance, than watch what we consume (and unfortunately, what consumes us).

Welcome, Bark, and good for you and your wife for taking the plunge into nudism and physical fitness!
I don't know whether nudism would encourage everyone to be in better physical shape or not, but I would hope that at least it would encourage everyone to live healthier (not necessarily thinner). This is a better motivator and goal, I believe. Certainly nudism is a good motivator for me to continue to keep healthy and fit.

Philzer at least it gets you out in the sun and fresh air. Too many people spend all their time cooped up inside in front of a tv.
