Can I jump in here? I just though I would say what has worked for me and some of the people I work with. The Atkins diet. I don't think of it as a diet. You see it is the food I love anyway. Meat and fish. For me it was just learnig to cook. I was all about 5 min. food till I started watching the Food network. I love that network. I am a man and was never tought to cook. I moved here from Tenn. Between the rain up here and my stressfull job I gained weight. I found out from the show how easy it was to cook. As for the big change that causes people to fall off diets. What I like as I said is that from the atkins you can start out in the middle of his diet and it's not like a big change. That (the first part of his diet) part is to drop weight fast and I just started in the middle part and went a little slower. As for the Lean nutricious or good tasting I found that mixing Atkins with Emeril L. comes out just right. Tast great and I made it my self. Add a little Linda Gassenheimer just for the heck of it and its almost like the feeling of being nude. Great food (home cooked with care) and walking in the woods nude feel close to the same for meAND I can eat the complete peice of cheese cake...

Congratulations hillbilly, glad you found a diet plan that works for you. Men make great cooks, you just have to take the remote out of their hands. Most great chefs are men. My hubby is great at grilling, anytime we eat outside he takes charge and does a wonderful job. We had a potluck at work the other day, and this guy made the most delicious dish. It felt kinda wierd asking a guy for a recipe'.

Hello Kimberly. Look at your profile and my goodness you're far north compared to me. I'm here in south Louisiana. I've begun loosing weight and am on the long road to recovery. Since my shoulder injury, I've gained close to 50 lbs. That combined with depression from going job to job and the failed attempt at getting back together with my ex (no jobs for me in her area and was becoming a financial burden on her and the kids) all added pounds. My current hurdle is my rotating shift schedule. 11pm-7am Tues-Mon, off Tues&Wed, 3pm-11pm Thurs-Wed, off Thurs&Fri, 7am-3pm Sat-Thurs, off Fri-Mon, then start rotation all over again. Today is my transition day in which I change from sleeping at night to sleeping in the day. I prepare my meals to bring to work for the next three days. I could a main course meat (fish, chicken breast, or beef) and two side dishes of beans or veggies. This is what I bring to work. My favorite recipe is quick and easy. Take a pound of lean ground beef (I use ground chuck) and add a can of drained Rotel Tomatoes of your favorite flavor. This will make four burgers larger and juicier than normal. I then cook them on the George Foreman grill to further reduce the calories. I always eat my veggies and or beans before the main course meat.

I dated a school teacher who was interested in nudism but was afraid to visit due to her body. She'd had an operation for a hernia (sp?) and the doctor was forced to remove large amounts of fat tissue to perform the surgery. Because of this, he also had to remove some stomach skin, she was over 350lbs before the surgery. This left her with an unusual stomach. She had a large bulge on her right side and a very twisted, almost Z shape skin on the front lower part of her belly. She was OK with me seeing what she called her "alien" but she was too scared to visit a nudist camp and seeing the look on other people's faces when they saw her scars. That was just too big a hurdle for her to overcome. Once you can accept your body, you can move on to overcome the real problems in your life.

Most places I have been sailordave, nudists accept you as who you are, not what you look like. I can understand how people feel, especially with scars or deformities. If I am a little over weight I feel self concious about it, just my vanity I guess.

Thanks Kim, You are right Bart. My honey is going to get me a T.V in there some day. See I don't watch much T.V. The food network and action movies for the most part. Sometimes the home improvement network. I would say in the T.V area I don't fall under "most men". My Honey say's I am a mans man with a soft side. She loves my cooking and that's all that matters for now. When I get out of this rat race I live in now and we go back south I am thinking about opening a place of my own. We will have to see.

She was OK with her size but she was very selfconscience about that scar and large bulge. Seriously, that bulge was like a basket ball cut in half. Even dressed she knew people could see it. She used humor to hide the pain she felts when she saw the flinch in their eyes before they looked away. Her depression set in and she just didn't want to leave the house unless she had to. She ended up braking it off and ended up just going to work and back home. That door is closed and long past time to move on.

My biggest concern the first time I went to a resort was that I glowed.I mean I was,and still am so white, my legs look like floresent lights. But after a few minutes I noticed woman who had a masectomy scar,a man with a surgery scar on his chest and several people who were sporting scars of one type or another thatif they could get over it so could I.I haven't had a weight problem since jr.high but with the large spectrum of body shape at the park I don't think that would have been an issue for long.

RD: Glowing...I am in the habit of telling people I see these days to remember their sunglasses because of how pale I am. Wouldn't want to harm their eyeballs from the glare. I went to Tucson a couple of weeks ago to ride with my cycling team (I'm in Portland, OR). Most of them live in Arizona. I was ridiculed severely, I tell ya'!...<laughing>

Both my wife and I each have a few scars from surgical procedures. As Matt said, many of us nudists carry around signs of our struggles we've had through life. We actually don't even think about it any more.

Usually at the first of the season you see a lot of "cotton tails", but as the the summer days get longer you get nice all over tans. I start in the spring in between rain showers, and sun a little each day until I am ready for summer.
